Guest FeArHaVoC Posted March 11, 2003 Report Posted March 11, 2003 - Hulk Hogan called in on the Bubba the Love Sponge Radio Show this morning and said that WWE told him he didn't have to come to the Smackdown taping tonight. He said the show had been rewritten and they did not have room for him. This is likely an indication that much of the show will focus on the Brock Lesnar/Kurt Angle situation. - Chris Benoit remains the favorite to replace Kurt Angle in a feud with Brock Lesnar for WrestleMania. Guest EternallyLazy Posted March 11, 2003 Report Posted March 11, 2003 If Benoit finally wins the belt at Mania, it's all worth it
Guest Choken One Posted March 11, 2003 Report Posted March 11, 2003 I'm still wondering if it will be a Vacent title face vs face match or will Brock win the title and WWE stupidly quickly turn Brock Heel again....Latter most likely...
Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted March 11, 2003 Report Posted March 11, 2003 I'm still wondering if it will be a Vacent title face vs face match or will Brock win the title and WWE stupidly quickly turn Brock Heel again....Latter most likely... I was thinking the same thing. I wouldn't mind seeing Benoit go heel though. Up til Wrestlemania, they can run those interviews they ran on him previously where he talks about what the title means to him. Then he can win it and say he will do whatever he has to do to keep the belt. And start whipping some ass.
Guest Choken One Posted March 11, 2003 Report Posted March 11, 2003 Sure, I actually think Benoit is an more convincing Heel then he is a face actually. I am sure that we're better off he turns Heel AFTER Mania because I couldn't bare to see him try to carry the company as the top face... I would be very all for Brock/Benoit being a straight up respect Vacent Title match where...Benoit can kinda do the Austin thing from WMX7 and DO ANYTHING to win the title.
Guest nikowwf Posted March 11, 2003 Report Posted March 11, 2003 No Hogan, and the show will focus on Benoit and Brock. I'm in. ALSO SPOILER (RUMOR ACTUALLY BUT YOU KNOW SOME PEEPS HAVE HEART ATTACKS) Benoit may actually win the belt tonight, as I heard (probably on this board) that one of the ideas was to have Brock chasing Benoit with Benoit getting the nod tonight as part of a Brock turn.)
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted March 11, 2003 Report Posted March 11, 2003 My God! If Benoit wins the title tonight, I can't imagine how many different Threads, all about the same thing, will be on this board by time I sign on tomorrow morning.
Guest Trivia247 Posted March 11, 2003 Report Posted March 11, 2003 Hogan might not be there but Vince will be and he'll waste 30 minutes in just bashing Hogan where Cruiserweights could be wrestling.
Garth Posted March 11, 2003 Report Posted March 11, 2003 i really want them to just vacate the title and have the match at WM but i think they should still have Angle involved in the match some way possibly being the guest refferee for the match at mania that would be awesome IMO
Guest KingOfOldSchool Posted March 11, 2003 Report Posted March 11, 2003 - Hulk Hogan called in on the Bubba the Love Sponge Radio Show this morning and said that WWE told him he didn't have to come to the Smackdown taping tonight. He said the show had been rewritten and they did not have room for him. Good. I'm glad. The show will be more tolerable this way. Benoit may actually win the belt tonight, as I heard (probably on this board) that one of the ideas was to have Brock chasing Benoit with Benoit getting the nod tonight as part of a Brock turn.) While I don't know about a Brock turn, especially so soon after he turned face, it'd be worth it if Benoit actually won the title. I'd prefer it if Benoit won it at WM, with the belt being vacant until then. But beggars can't be choosers...
Guest evilhomer Posted March 11, 2003 Report Posted March 11, 2003 Benoit may actually win the belt tonight NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Benoits been fighting like hell to finally realize his dream of being WWE Heavyweight Champion, and it's as a two week placeholder reign. Please no, please. Or course there is the possibility that he could go over Brock at WM but that is extremely unlikely.
Guest JDMattitudeV1 Posted March 12, 2003 Report Posted March 12, 2003 I’d rather Benoit turn heal than Lesner as Brock is starting to really gain some momentum as a face, and Benoit is at his best as a ruthless, killer heal. Best way to do it would be to have Benoit align himself with Heymen and Team Angle, but hey, if Benoit wins the title either way I’ll be happy.
NYU Posted March 12, 2003 Report Posted March 12, 2003 But....but....they can't turn Brock heel ! What will become of all the fans that will follow him to the ends of the earth ? What will happen to them ?! WON'T SOMEBODY PLEASE THINK OF THESE FANS ?!
