Guest snuffbox Report post Posted March 13, 2003 I was informed that its fake during the first match I ever watched. The concept never swayed my opinion, I still enjoy movies even though those are pretty fake as well. To sorta answer the question tho, Ive always been a mark for the cocky heels- Flair, Perfect, Rude, Douglas, etc.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted March 13, 2003 Undertaker - I STILL mark for old-school Taker and I know wrestling is scripted. Warrior - Loved him. Don't know why. Hated: Rude - I loved dick heels but hated the "I'm sooo pretty" heels. Rude didn't come into his own till 92 Vader: Just a big fat guy... till he beat Sting. Guest kkktookmybabyaway Report post Posted March 13, 2003 Hmm, back when I was a kid I always liked Sgt. Slaughter and Koko. I never really liked the Iron Sheik as a kid, especially when he hit Sarge with a chair one night during a house show...
Guest Celtic Jobber Report post Posted March 13, 2003 Back in my "unsmart" mark days; I liked Ultimate Warrior (pre-1991), Rick Rude, Shawn Michaels (after he put Marty through the window), Bret Hart, Owen Hart, Mr. Perfect, Big Boss Man, Lex Luger (yeah, I actually bought into the whole Lex Express thing... what was I thinking?), and Macho Man Randy Savage. I hated Sid, Vader, Giant Gonzales, Yokozuna, Kamala, Nailz, Papa Shango, Skinner, Diesel, Sparkplug Holly, Money Inc, Nasty Boys, Natural Disasters, and Lord Alfred Hayes (wassup with his voice?). Guest Rob Edwards Report post Posted March 14, 2003 I loved Mr Perfect, Shawn Michaels, Owen Hart, Roddy Piper, Rick Rude, Dibiase, Flair and The Headshrinkers I hated the Steiners, Hogan, Virgil, Bossman and Bret for some reason Thankfully my tastes have improved since
Guest Pigsy Report post Posted March 14, 2003 I liked the Ric Flair, Mr. Perfect and Bobby Heenan group. I also remember liking the Mountie. I tended to prefer heels as a general rule, with the exception of the British Bulldog (I'm from the UK). I hated Warrior and Hogan, and didn't think much of Bret, mainly because he wore pink - that's a girls colour.

Atleast now I've gotten into cruisers and indie wrestlers.
Guest treble charged Report post Posted March 15, 2003 As a ten year old my favourite wrestler was Brian fucking Adams. I'm now in therapy. Dude, I loved Crush, too. I also hated Owen Hart, that bastard stole the Sharpshooter from Bret, dammit!

LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted March 16, 2003 Thankfully I always knew wrestling was planned out (I hate saying "fake") since I started watching. However I started watching in '94 when I was 16 so I wasn't some little kid watching wrestling.
Guest Caliban Report post Posted March 17, 2003 SHAKAAA, BRA!!! I loved Crush too. Warrior.. Hogan.. the Demos.. It's funny that we all complain about these huge guys being pushed today, but there is your reason why. Kids love 'em.
Guest Redhawk Report post Posted March 17, 2003 SHAKAAA, BRA!!! I loved Crush too. Warrior.. Hogan.. the Demos.. It's funny that we all complain about these huge guys being pushed today, but there is your reason why. Kids love 'em. I'm glad someone besides me recognizes that. Now the extra-fat slugs I don't think anyone likes (Big Show, A-Train, Mark Henry), but when I was little I would have loved guys like Kane, Batista, Undertaker, and probably even Test. Well, maybe not Test. But I would have liked Scott Steiner.
Guest treble charged Report post Posted March 18, 2003 Yeah, Steiner has such a cool look that, if you don't care about wrestling ability, you can't help but like him. Well, not if you're Canadian (for the most part), but you know what I mean.
Guest DerangedHermit Report post Posted March 20, 2003 I got into wrestling late and I knew it was fake (summer '98) - and the period of markdom was relatively short (summer '98-winter '98-99) So... Guest RevEvil Report post Posted March 22, 2003 I hate to admit it but when I started watching just after WMxiv, I thought it was real. It took me a couple months to realise it wasn't. The wierd thing was that one of the reasons I stopped watching in '94 was that I was told that it was fake. Anyway, my experiences watching the wwf in '94 are very hazy. I didn't really pay attention to storylines or alignments. I actually got the Hart bros. confused. I was a big Anvil mark for some reason. I also liked Tatanka(cause I'm part native American), Yokozuna ( He was fat and it was funny when he got scared), Paul Bearer (same reason), Doink and Dink, the Bushwackers, Million $ Man, and Undertaker(even though it was really the fake one). I hated the 123 kid, just because I thought the name was stupid. My favorite wrestler was Matcho Man, even though I only saw him in slim jim commercials. I used to watch Hogan's tv show when it was on, but I never really liked him.
