Guest areacode212 Report post Posted March 16, 2003 There used to be a wwftitlehistory.com. It existed on WWE.com for a while, but it seems to have disappeared. It's too bad because they had some good pictures, and it made for interesting reading.
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted March 16, 2003 Well tits to that...my PWI almanac counts it, so I'll count it
Guest areacode212 Report post Posted March 16, 2003 And I'm pretty sure that the WWE considered Andre's win to be a legit reign, evil twin ref and all. I think I have an old issue of RAW magazine that has a title history in it. I'll go look for it.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted March 16, 2003 The WWE refuses to recognize that as a legit title change (Unless something has changes since the last time I've scoped out the title histories.) so it is NOT a true change, and Andre was never a WWF Champion. Technically, SupaTaft is correct. No- Andre's title reign counts. SupaTaft and you are wrong. Andre's reign was official and is known as one of the shortest of all time
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin 0 Report post Posted March 16, 2003 Is it shorter than Yoko's reign between Bret & Hogan?

LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted March 16, 2003 Is it shorter than Yoko's reign between Bret & Hogan? I believe so. It can't be shorter than Yoko's since technically it didn't end until Tunney vacated the title even if he did physically hand the belt to DiBiase. DiBiase was never considered champ from that exchange.
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted March 16, 2003 Yokozuna shouldn't even be ON this list. Sure, he wasn't a great wrestler, but he *was* fucking enormous. The fact that he could do a superkick (Not a great one, but still) is impressive enough. Besides, it's not like he wasn't over. And when he finally dropped the belt to Bret Hart, Bret got uber-over for it. Unless you're talking about his 10-minute reign, but still. I think one good reign and one shitty one do not = worst champ ever. 127 seconds to be exact. That seems a little short since we had Hogan checking on Bret and Fuji issuing a challenge all happen after Yoko pinned Bret. Plus Hogan took a few seconds to decide if he was going in the ring. Bret ended up telling him to go.
Guest treble charged Report post Posted March 16, 2003 No, I've timed it myself and it's around there. I remember it was on the cover of an old WWF magazine. The main picture was of Hogan, and there were 2 smallers inserts, one of Bret and one of Yoko. Under the Bret picture it said 'Champion (however many) Days', under the Yoko picture it said 'Champion 127 Seconds' and under the Hogan picture it said 'Champion ??? Days'. You have to remember that Yoko/Hogan 'match' consisted of Mr. Fuji throwing that salt accidently in Yoko's eyes, Hogan hitting a leg drop, and then pinning Yoko. Also, Hogan hit ringside as soon as the match ended, so it's not like Yoko was celebrating for a long time, or anything.

Guest NoSelfWorth Report post Posted March 17, 2003 I went for Sid. I was torn between him and Diesel but Sid it was. Why did they ever put the belt on him? At the time it seemed like a good idea considering how much HBK was bombing as champion. They needed to get the belt off Shawn at all costs, and tried to put it on Vader but Shawn wouldn't job to him, so they picked Sid. The only other realistic choice was Taker, but they ended up saving him for Mania. Of course, everything got screwed up by Royal Rumble and they ended up putting the belt on Shawn again, who dropped it because he wouldn't job to Bret at Wrestlemania XIII. Taker was offered as a second choice, but Michaels refused to job to him too. Since by this point they wanted Taker to win at Mania, the third option was to do Sid/Taker & Bret/Austin with Shawn jobbing the belt to Sid at Final Four. He ALSO refused to do this, and simply forfeited the title. Vader was rapidly pissing off management, and since he was really the only other option by this time, they gave it to Sid again. Actually, the switch to Sid was only to set up the big return match in San Antonio. The plan was for Sid to get the belt at SS, beat Bret the next month at IYH 12, drop it to Shawn, who would drop it to Bret at WM 13. Vader was indeed supposed to be in Sid's spot, but Shawn flexed his muscle at the time, and got it changed to Sid.

Agent_Bond34 0 Report post Posted May 31, 2003 I voted Diesel and here's why: When you are told by JIM ROSS (correct?) that you are the lowest drawing champion in the history of the company (that is accurate, right?) then obviously, you're a worthless piece of shit for a champion, who has no business holding the belt in the first place. And when you have a whole year to do something as champ and draw poorly, then you don't belong in the main event spotlight to begin with. Not that Diesel ever did. Guest two_tuff_toddy Report post Posted June 17, 2003 If Big Show had only wone the belt once I would have picked either Diesel or Sgt. Slaughter but the fact that they had to give it to him two fucking times is why I went with him.
Guest JaKyL25 Report post Posted June 30, 2003 I'm picking Vince because it was COMPLETELY pointless except to make HHH a 2-time champ instead of 1. I suppose picking "other" would be a vote for Stan Stasiak? 9 days as champ with only 1 successful title defense kinda sucks. Not as bad as some others on the list, but enough for consideration. Or Antonio Inoki, if you recognize that reign like PWI does.
