SSP at Mania?

Recommended Posts

In all serious, with the SSP and the f-5 appartently no=nos, how do you think the match will end?

I think its gonna end via Angle Lock: wont hurt Angles neck, and its poetic irony.

I hadn't even thought about the finish...Brock could always do the Hogan F5....

I will expect a Submission finish though...

Have him try the SSP and miss...

Yeah, but then what would the point be?

Really though, people are like "Oh not that's so dangerous for Angle!" How? Lesnar'd be landing on his chest. Take a look again at the vid of Lesnar doing the SSP--there's no danger to the neck there at all. Even if he messed it up, it wouldn't be a risk to Angle's neck. Lesnar could land with his knee on Angle's throat, but then that'd seriously hurt anybody, not just Kurt. It wouldn't hurt Kurt more than anybody else, because the shock of the impact wouldn't be transferred to the spine--it would "only" collapse his trachea.

I think Eskimo is right however, and Lesnar will never do the SSP in WWE. Or if he does, it'll be years later in some anti-climactic spot. That's how things usually are in this company.

If he ever was going to do it, he'd do it at mania but now with the injury that's quite the risk. I don't see how him missing it is pointless, it shows that top rope offense is not his speciality and he got caught up in the moment, having never been at wrestlemania and all. I don't like top rope moves as finishers as a rule, I sure as hell don't want one in the WM main event, but it would be a nice visual if nothing else.
