Guest CanadianChris Posted March 20, 2002 Report Posted March 20, 2002 Some results/thoughts from the recently concluded Ottawa SmackDown!: - Crowd wasn't nearly as electric as for the RAW last October. Two possible reasons: 1) we hadn't had WWF TV here for 4 years, and were much more vocal; and 2) they really didn't give us a lot to cheer about. - William Regal defeated DDP with the Power of the Punch to become the new European champion after a Christian run-in. - X-Pac returned as the newest nWo member, helping Hall and Nash punk out Hogan after he ran in on the Rock/Nash match. - Brock Lesnar ran in on a Hurricane/Mighty Molly match and destroyed them both. He laid out Molly with a clothesline that makes the Clothesline From #### look like a tap on the chest. - And finally (are you ready for this one?)... - (Are you sure?)... - (OK, here goes...) The handicap match scheduled for RAW between HHH and Jericho/Steph is now a triple threat match between the 3. And, if Steph can pin either HHH or Jericho, she will become the undisputed world heavyweight champion. And the scary thing is, I wouldn't lay money against it. Discuss.

No way in #### would they ever do something that fucking retarded. HHH just won the belt and he isn't losing it. Steph will likely get pinned and then tossed off TV for a while. It gets her off, keeps the belt on HHH for now, and also means Jericho doesn't have to do a humiliating job.

In this case, signs seems to point to Undertaker costing Triple H the match. H gets it back one way or another, and seeks revenge on Undertaker. Simple formula. The only thing is that it involves STEPHANIE FUCKING MCMAHON BEING THE WWF CHAMPION. For any period of time, that is unacceptable. Someone, anyone...please assassinate that bitch. This is getting out of hand.

Everytime the WWF's best bet was to do the most obvious thing, they've done something else. Test should have been the mole in the Invasion and they had no idea what to do with that until the brought RVD and Dreamer in. Rock should have turned heel at Mania two straight years (####, he got booed in both build-ups, it oughta be a no-brainer) and they blew it. I pray to God somebody with some pull has enough common senseto tell Vince and Stephanie "Two words: David Arquette", but somehow I think the only one who has the balls to say so is Heyman and they won't listen to the guy from ECW for anything important.

To spite Flair, Vince sends Taker out to protect Steph and allowing her to win the match to spite Flair. Even worse, as champion, she would be allowed to appear on both friggin shows!!!!!!

There has to be a few people who will tell him how dumb it is (if he doesn't already know, which he should). Hogan, Austin, Rock, and a couple others might be able to convince him otherwise if he plans to make Steph the champ.

But I admit...Taker costing HHH the belt...and then HHH getting it back...to set up Taker vs. HHH at Backlash...sounds so plausible it's scary. HHH will win though...and at this point he's the best choice of the 3 to go over. Steph- no way in #### Jericho- after the last month...no better than Stephanie as an option. How sad is that?

Stephanie as champ=the end of professional wrestling in North America. Forget Tropicana Field or the Silverdome for WrestleMania 19, you couldn't sell out my high school gym with Stephanie McMahon as World Champion.

They know the feud has mainly been about Steph, so most of the fans probably wouldn't bet against Steph winning either. Whether or not they will actually go through with an idea so rediculous is another matter, but I logical part of me says they won't. Maybe I just have too much faith in the WWF, but I can't see them doing something so blanently stupid.
