Guest Redhawk Report post Posted March 14, 2003 Was that the weakest "comeback" by an elite athlete or what? Michael Jordan was excellent after his first retirement (three NBA titles) and has been pretty damn good after retirement #2 (nearly 20 ppg). George Foreman won a heavyweight title during his comeback. Hell, Magic Johnson even had a couple of nice games when he came back. What did Carter do? Didn't he only play in like one game? Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted March 14, 2003 Don't be so sure this is it for Carter. He's got too big an ego. If a team is desperate for a receiver like Miami last season, Carter would come out of retirement.
Agent_Bond34 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2003 Carter retires from the Dolphins. Gee, that didn't take long, did it?
Guest Human Fly Report post Posted March 15, 2003 If the price is right, and the team has a shot at the Super Bowl Carter will be there. The price probably just has to be decent. He did have one awesome catch with the Dolphins though. But, other than that it was a pretty lackluster comeback. Ray Lucas jobbed him out of going to the playoffs. Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted March 15, 2003 Actually Carter dropped a TD pass against Minnesota that would of won the game and gotten the Dolphins into the playoffs.
