Guest EternallyLazy Posted March 15, 2003 Report Posted March 15, 2003 The reason I believe Angle/Lesnar will go on last, is because of the "face wins to send the fans home happy" rule for WM (broken for HHH at WM 2000 and the Austin heel turn) Rock is probably going over Austin at Mania, and we know Brock is going over Angle
Guest Brian Posted March 15, 2003 Report Posted March 15, 2003 Brock/Angle, if booked smart, could be heated and better than Rock/Austin.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted March 15, 2003 Report Posted March 15, 2003 I'm pretty sure the crowd left happy at X-7.
Guest Brian Posted March 15, 2003 Report Posted March 15, 2003 And they were in Texas with Austin beating Rock for the title.
Guest EternallyLazy Posted March 15, 2003 Report Posted March 15, 2003 I'm pretty sure the crowd left happy at X-7. well yeah of course. I was just referring to the "face" rule of Mania and technically he didn't walk out a face, even though the crowd treated him like one
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted March 15, 2003 Report Posted March 15, 2003 1st Match- The 'Good' match to start the show. Nothing great, nothing bad. Face wins to get the crowd warmed up. 2nd Match - Filler 3rd Match - Hardcore/Gimmick Match 4th Match - Hoss vs. Good Wrestler 5th Match - The Heyman Booked Match (Usually best on the card) 6th Match - Filler 7th Match - Special Attraction Match 8th Match - Gimmick/Multi-man Match 9th Match - Special Attraction Match 10th Match - Filler/Meaningful 11th Match - Title Bout
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted March 15, 2003 Report Posted March 15, 2003 Using this... 1st Match- Dudleys vs. Regal/Storm 2nd Match - Filler 3rd Match - Hardcore/Gimmick Match 4th Match - Kane vs. RVD 5th Match - Matt Hardy vs. Rey Mysterio 6th Match - Taker/Jones vs. Big Show/Atrain 7th Match - Hogan/Vince 8th Match - Smackdown 3 way tag 9th Match - Rock/Austin 10th Match - Booker/HHH 11th Match - Angle/Brock
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin Posted March 15, 2003 Author Report Posted March 15, 2003 I'm sure HHH will love being on the card higher than Austin & rock esp. if he's winning.
Guest pochorenella Posted March 16, 2003 Report Posted March 16, 2003 Just please, give a singles match for the Hurricane. I don't care if he goes first or whatever. After his RAW win against the Rock last monday I believe he could get over huge if the WWE pushed him right, and a WM win could be just the ticket.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted March 16, 2003 Report Posted March 16, 2003 Heat: 1. Christian vs Test 2. Rikishi vs Nunzio Mania: 1. Matt Hardy vs. Rey Mysterio - Cruiserweight Title 2. Noble/Nidia vs Kidman/Torrie - Inter-Gender Tag Match 3. Dudleys vs RVD/Kane vs Regal/Storm - RAW Tag Team Titles 4. Victoria vs. Trish vs. Jazz - Women's Title 5. Taker & Nathan Jones vs. Big Show & A-Train Music Performance 6. Chris Jericho vs. HBK 7. Vince vs. Hogan 8. Los Guerreros vs Rhyno/Benoit vs Team Angle - Smackdown Tag Team Titles 9. HHH vs. Booker T - Heavyweight Title 10. Austin vs. Rock 11. Angle vs. Brock - WWE Title Dont ask me why the Smackdown tag match is up so high, but it makes a good break during the last half of the show but it still has credibility for being up that high. They need a match like this, and not something like the women's title match that will kill the crowd like it did last year. The Limp Bizkit performance esentially marks the midpoint of the show.. Hopefully, they will put RVD and Kane in the Tag match, I can't see them doing a singles match between the two since they had Kane chokeslam RVD but didnt go anywhere with it. The Intergender Tag match probably won't happen but it makes some sense and wouldnt be too bad of an early match. I don't know what they will do with Steiner or Jeff Hardy but I doubt Steiner would wrestle on Heat. The Rikishi vs Nunzio match probably won't happen either but I don't think that theres another SD match you could put on Heat (unless its the I-G tag match). Test vs Chrisitian is definite Heat material for a match. IMO, this has the potential to be better than X-7, but it could end up being a total disaster too so I dunno.
Guest Rob Van Dam Posted March 16, 2003 Report Posted March 16, 2003 they should have a ten man tag with faces from raw adn smackdown vs heels from raw and smackdown, so they can get more guys on the show something like: Hurricane, Dreamer, Tajiri, Jeff Hardy, and Funaki vs Jamie Noble, Shannon Moore, Nunzio, Christian, and Steven Richards
Guest eiker_ir Posted March 16, 2003 Report Posted March 16, 2003 that sound good the interpromotional 10 man tag match. they don't even have to write a feud for that, just announce it as a especial bonus or something, being Wrestlemania and all...
Guest creativename Posted March 16, 2003 Report Posted March 16, 2003 HBK/Y2J Hogan/Vince Trips/Book Angle/Brock Austin/Rock I think this will be the order!!! Thanks. I think this will be the order because, I don't think Angle will main event mania with his injury. Although it would be cool if Angle main evented maia for (maybe) his last match ever. EDIT: This was NOT posted my be, as noted below.

Guest Y2DAYDAY Posted March 17, 2003 Report Posted March 17, 2003 Don't be surprised if they put Hogan and McMahon on last.
Guest snuffbox Posted March 17, 2003 Report Posted March 17, 2003 Commonwealth Connection vs. Dudleys vs. RVD/Kane -(10 mins/decent opener) Victoria vs. Jazz vs. Trish - (kept 5 minutes or lower) Taker/Jones vs. A-Train/Big Show (10-12 mins) Y2J/HBK - (20 mins) Team Angle vs. Los Guerreros vs. Rhyno/Benoit (15 mins) HHH/Booker (if HHH loses, hell want it lower on the card, 15/16mins) Hogan/Vince (10-15mins match, 5-10 of longish intros and hogan posing afterwards) maybe some form of battle royal/ohaire v ?/etc (5 mins) Lesnar/Angle (30 mins, much matwrestling and maybe a big bump/rest from brock) Mysterio/Mattitude (10 mins) Austin/Rock - (25-30 mins) That makes for approx 3 hours of mostly wrestling time. $ should be filled with promos, intros, bullshit, maybe one more match.
Guest JMA Posted March 17, 2003 Report Posted March 17, 2003 Matt Hardy Version One vs. Rey Mysterio Victoria vs. Jazz vs. Trish Team Angle vs. Los Guerreros vs. Rhyno/Benoit Taker/Jones vs. A-Train/Big Show Dudley Boyz vs. Commonwealth Connection Y2J vs. HBK Hogan vs. Vince Austin vs. The Rock Triple H vs. Booker T Kurt Angle vs. Brock Lesnar
Guest bob_barron Posted March 17, 2003 Report Posted March 17, 2003 You can't book the big 5 back to back. It will burn out the crowd big time
Guest treble charged Posted March 17, 2003 Report Posted March 17, 2003 JMA, no offence, but I hope you never, EVER get involved in the creative aspect anywhere in the wrestling business.
Guest Lord of The Curry Posted March 17, 2003 Report Posted March 17, 2003 No fucking way Angle vs Brock is getting the top spot in the state they're in now. If the crowd sees a match full of mat wrestling with no big bumping or cool spots they're gonna shit all over the match. Brock vs Angle gets the second last spot, Austin vs Rock finishes the show.
Guest JMA Posted March 17, 2003 Report Posted March 17, 2003 JMA, no offence, but I hope you never, EVER get involved in the creative aspect anywhere in the wrestling business. Why would I be offended by that? That's a pretty harsh thing to say going only on the order I put my matches in. Very harsh indeed. Entirely unfair as well.
BruteSquad_BRODY Posted March 29, 2015 Report Posted March 29, 2015 They're going to exhaust the crowd if Rock vs Austin is anything but last on the show. Steve
