I'll never get rikishi. He's not the worst wrestler and I don't really hate him, but they make sure EVERYONE they debut on smackdown puts him over in a 2 minute match before they get any sort of push (if any). Kudos big fella, though if you were to get massacred with a chair in the middle of your little dance, I would cackle with glee.

Rikishi is my #2 most hated wrestler on the roster right now, but I got to hand it to the big guy, he is over with the crowd. Let him keep his token wins so that he remains a threat, and it actually means something when talent gets a win over him.

As long as he not doing a weekly squash on one of the remaining SD6, I don't really mind. Piss break wrestlers mean I don't have to run to unload a few beers.

I'm shocked he's lost that match, it seems he's winning matches every week. :P

I don't hate Rikishi as much as everyone else here, but I don't like seeing him win every week.

While he's nowhere near as over OR as good in the ring as he was in 2000, he's a guy that should be used to, like evilhomer said, get some wins and then job to an up and comer. That's it.

I don't have time to do a breakdown on Rikishi but by my count since Wrestleman X-8 (which is when I started keeping track of all this) he is 23-12. I counted his match against Nunzio on 2/13 as a DQ win. One thing to remeber is Rikishi isn't fighting main event competition and is typically squashing jobbers and cruiserweights.

Rikishi is far and away my most hated guy. He never jobs cleanly, and he does the same goddamn predictable moveset leading to the stinkface, which was funny exactly once.

He's the only guy I boycott, I just change the channel whenever he's on no matter what.

Man, I used to really like Rikishi. He was a pretty good brawler, and he was much fun to watch when they'd let him do his fancy-schmancy piledriver. I always thought he was a good enough midcard face, but then he just started doing nothing of import and has since become quite useless.

I wonder what his record is on house shows and other non-televised events.

150-3?

I liked Rikishi with Too Cool...but the last year I've just hated him worse then anyone else.

I think what puts me over the hate edge is the dumb little thing where he'll ass bump a guy and EVERY TIME the dude will take a couple steps out then fall into perfect allignment for a goddamn stink face...and the fact that he "raises the roof" doesn't help me like it anymore.

I don't have a problem with him otherwise.

Holy crap, he's got a better record than Angle. I give up.

1. Angle has more wins

2. Angle is the champ, Rikishi is a curtain jerker

so shutup

I really don't understand why Rikishi wins so much. He's not getting any kind of push. I can't even remember the last time Rikishi had a PPV match, yet he's still wins most of his matches.

I actually thought his record would've been much better. I guess most of his losses he ended up giving a stink face to the person who defeated him, so it seemed like he really won.

And I can't believe Torrie and Rikishi teamed up once and lost. That must be the most shocking upset in history.

Rikishi's lack of doing a goddamn thing right now stems from two particular problems.

1. Turning heel in 2000 killed most of his appeal. The WWE realized this almost immediately and had Trips take Rikishi's role as the mastermind behind the Austin car incident.

2. A series of injuries in early to mid 2001 killed him dead period. He got injured while tagging with Haku early in the year and was our for about 3-4 months (popped eardrum IIRC). He came back as a heel in May, turned face within a week, got injured again almost immediately, and killed ratings along the way.

Ever since his last return, to blow off the Vince McMahon "Kiss My Ass" club in late 2001, he's had a decent midcard pop but no real interest.

Don't worry about Rikishi.. soon they will run an angle giving Rikishi a trophy for his achievements, then they will move on and Brock will get a bigger trophy the next week. Leading to Rikishi ripping something off of Brock.

Wrestlemania XX: Brock Lesnar v. Rikishi, the first meeting ( ) for the WWE title!

Hehehehe

I don't remind Rikishi as a curtain-jerker. It's when they feed new heels to him before they have a chance to get over that I get annoyed.

You know, all Rikishi needs is a gimmick change. Throw some clothes on him and let him hit a top rope splash like he used to do. Stop using the Stink-face and go back to the Fire Thunder Driver.

I still think Rikishi as the leader of 3MW could work. Send Rikishi to RAW, have him join 3MW...have all 3 Samaons turn on Rico. Rico turns face, 3MW becomes a Samoan heel stable capable of putting some beatdowns on people like Kane. Shit, if Rikishi was booked correctly, he could be the next Yokozuna. Why wouldn't it be believable to see him beat Triple H? Jamaal and Rosie distract Triple H physically then Rikishi hits him with the Fire Thunder Driver.

Rikishi would have to change his hair color back to black as well. That blonde "Hip Hawaiian" thing isn't going over anymore...

DRAMA~

Piledrivers aren't in use except on rare occasions.

Yeah, I know Rikishi's thighs are about two feet thick, but that's WWE policy.

Besides, would you really WANT Rikishi as a main eventer? Good Lord, that's all we need...don't give Vince ideas like that. He'd like it.

Have you ever seen Bam Bam Bigelow do the greetings from Asbury Park? It's just like Rikishi's Fire Thunder Driver. The opponents head never hits the ground because they are fatties. Perfectly acceptable.

Also, I would want Rikishi as a main eventer if he was booked correctly. I would want anyone as a main eventer. Yoko was one of my favorite champs of all time.

Spoiler (Highlight to Read):

Thanks for pointing out that the WWe doesn't use Piledrivers often. Like you're some "uber-smark" who was pointing out something that I didn't know two years ago.

There are worse people on the roster than Rikishi. Sure, his act may be stale, but he's still over for the most part, which means that a large portion of the audience likes to see him. That seems like good criteria to me to have him on TV every week.

I love the "Angle is champ, so the MUST be booking him well." I can answer that with

"JER-I-CHO"

And I'm right!

Bottom line, Angle loses much, much more than anyone else the company bills as a main eventer. That can no longr be disputed.

And I like Jago's Rikishi idea.

Yes, I've seen Bam Bam do the Greetings.

Lay off the smart-ass sarcasm in your "spoiler." And yes, I realize that Rikishi could do the move on nearly everyone and the top of their head wouldn't be anywhere near the canvas, but they probably wouldn't make an exception for Rikishi because even Taker and Kane don't get to use their Tombstones, and they're very safe with the execution.

Do you find it unrealistic that WWE would go to asinine levels to make the matches more "safe" even in cases of no danger? They took the move away from Rikishi in the FIRST place so obviously they think it's a danger to keep letting him use it.

I didn't care for Yoko as champ, but if that floated your boat so be it. Let's just say I don't look forward to title matches with Rikishi in them, blowing up five minutes, and brawling in between his same old spots and impersonating a wrestler rather than actually wrestling.

As for your idea, are we talking heel or face? The last time Rikishi was given a serious push he was heatless. The fans want him as a comedy act, and when he stops shoving his ass in people's faces they'll stop caring about him. It'd be better than him actually using the Stinkface, but I have no interest in him either way.

And I actually like your idea...up to the part about winning the title. Although if we're only talking Triple H's joke title, Carrot Top could win it and it wouldn't mean any less, so no harm done there. The SD title? Sorry, no.

I wasn't, I was merely stating why they wouldn't let him use the move. You're the one getting a hair up your ass because some one didn't assume you knew everything. For all I know you may not have known it, but I didn't present it to you as if it was a newsflash.

So cut the bitchy attitude.

I'll make a note of that: always assume Jago knows everything. Even if he comes up with an idea that would suggest that he's unaware of a certain WWE practice and why it would prevent his idea from being used.

At least you don't see Angle cleaning dogshit or his character taking second place. Whatever you may say about him, he is undoubtedly the main event feud. The way HHH-Jericho was booked last year it meant absolutely nothing compared to Rock-Hogan I or almost anything else on the roster.

So take that. oh and to

Bottom line, Angle loses much, much more than anyone else the company bills as a main eventer. That can no longr be disputed.

Wow. Since Angle was cleaning dog shit, it was a ***** feud!

Well, no. No at all. The did the same thing to Angle that they did to Jericho, just different methods.

And to that I can ironically also anwer with:

"JER-I-CHO"

When was the last time they billed Jericho as main event?

Jago's 3MW idea for Rikishi is something that I thought everyone would think was common sense to do the minute The Island Boyz came to WWE. But since it is so common sense and would actually give Rikishi & 3MW something to do, they put Rico in instead. WWE am smart.

It's not even "WWE am smart"... it's "WWE am smrt". THAT's how much of a no-brainer that was.
