Guest SP-1 Report post Posted March 16, 2003 None of my pics are showing up, and my browser seems to not want to access the site. Anyone else having this problem?
Guest T®ITEC Report post Posted March 16, 2003 Yes. I realised that I had a BoomSpeed account last night, so I wanted to try it out. I couldn't log-in. SEE? I WAS RIGHT! IT WAS ME, AUSTIN; IT WAS ME ALL ALONG!!! ...I told you guys to use VilliagePhotos.
Guest SP-1 Report post Posted March 16, 2003 Village Photos looked really complicated. I might just activate my space that comes with my ISP account.
Guest T®ITEC Report post Posted March 16, 2003 ...How does VilliagePhotos look complicated? I can help you set up an account with them later today, if you wish.
Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted March 16, 2003 My BoomSpeed account images seem to be working fine. Uhhh... knock on wood. I can't see yours though SP, so maybe it's just my cache I'm seeing?

Guest RenegadeX28 Report post Posted March 17, 2003 Does anybody know if Verizon Online (56K) offers free space?
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2003 Mine has been having problems, but it's okay now. It just takes awhile to get logged in. Villagephotos makes your pics smaller and fuzzier. They're big and rich on boomspeed plus the url's on boomspeed are small enough for avatars.
Guest T®ITEC Report post Posted March 17, 2003 D00D. VilliagePhotos doesn't do that if you upload them the right way.You have to uncheck the box about "optimizing .JPG images".
Guest Midnight Express83 Report post Posted March 17, 2003 why not just bypass all these problems and get a netfirms.com webpage. They are free and they work off of Frontpage, which comes free off of IE. It will make life so much easier. As you see, I don't have that problem of pics like everyone else around here does. Guest SP-1 Report post Posted March 17, 2003 Meh. I just use my 5 MB of space my ISP gives. It's easier to manage and more reliable to log into than Boomspeed.
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2003 why not just bypass all these problems and get a netfirms.com webpage. They are free and they work off of Frontpage, which comes free off of IE. It will make life so much easier. As you see, I don't have that problem of pics like everyone else around here does. Cause I don't have Frontpage and my Internet Explorer is broken and pretty much unfixable. Still Villagephotos doesn't give url's short enough for avatars. Guest T®ITEC Report post Posted March 18, 2003 Yes. Yes, they do. VilliagePhotos does, I promise. Here are two of my old avatars... The URL : http://image1ex.villagephotos.com/1506234.jpg & The URL : http://image1ex.villagephotos.com/1672171.jpg

Guest Plushy Al Logan Report post Posted March 20, 2003 I recievec the following email from Boomspeed: To: [email protected] Subject: Your BoomSpeed.Com account has been disabled for TOS violations. Date: Wed, 19 Mar 2003 13:42:14 -0600 (CST) From: [email protected] | This is Spam | Add to Address Book Dear mariologan, Your BoomSpeed.Com account has been disabled for TOS Violations and is scheduled to be deleted within 30 days. Here is why, and here is a very fair and simple way that you can save your account and prevent it from being deleted. Over the past year, BoomSpeed.Com has grown incredibly large and fast with the help of our members, spreading the word about what an excellent, fast and easy to use service we have. Thousands of people love using BoomSpeed. We have offered free accounts, and will continue to offer free accounts as promised. However, we have had a large amount of free users who have been using their accounts in violation of our Terms Of Service ("TOS"). People who are using free accounts in violation of our TOS harm the speed and quality of the service for everyone, so we must enforce our rules. Everyone who has created a free account here at BoomSpeed agreed to our rules or Terms Of Service (TOS) when starting their account. We understand that a lot of our users might not be aware of the Terms of Service restrictions on free 1Meg accounts. The URL for reading the current (and sometimes updated) TOS is http://www.boomspeed.com/terms.htm Because of the amount of bandwidth (our speed) being used up with free accounts being used in violation of the TOS, we must enforce our TOS by disabling and deleting free accounts not following the BoomSpeed rules and Terms Of Service. We are not trying to be mean or cause any problems for any users, but we must crack down on the abuse to keep the service working for everyone. You are receiving this email because your account has come up in our audits as being used in violation of the TOS (specifically, linking to files in your account from non-ebay, non-auction related & non-BoomSpeed hosted personal websites.) Because of this, your account has been disabled and is scheduled to be deleted at the end of this month. Do not let this happen! We are offering a great alternative to having your account deleted! If you upgrade to our lowest priced membership account immediately you would normally be charged $3 for the rest of this motnh then only $6/month, billed quarterly. We always pro-rate charges based on when your subscription is submitted. First half of month is charged $6, second half is charged $3 for that month, plus $6 per month pro-rated to the end of the current quarter. You can NOT beat that price, anywhere! Because this is the end of the 2nd Quarter of 2003, we are offering to waive the $3 charge for this month if you submit the upgrade for your account before the end of this month. We look forward to having you as a member. Subscribers pay $6/month (billed in $18 quarterly payments every 3 months) via a Credit Card charge made on or around the 1st of the months of January, April, July & October. With this upgrade, your account will be reactivated and you will have full access to 100 TIMES the disk space of our free accounts. A FULL 100 Megabytes of disk space for you to use for anything from backing up your hard drive, to storing family photos & other images for auctions, chatboards, whatever you like and have them instantly available on the Internet for others to see. Just by upgrading, you can keep using your BoomSpeed.Com account exactly like you are using it right now! To quickly upgrade your account, please visit: https://secure.boomspeed.com/secure/boomspe...speed/order.htm We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. This upgrade offer is only available by using a credit card directly with quarterly recurring billing. Once again, the link to upgrade now and save your account via credit card is : https://secure.boomspeed.com/secure/boomspe...speed/order.htm We here at BoomSpeed want you to stay with us. Your paid account will help us grow your hosting service with even more new features. Please consider keeping your account with us here at BoomSpeed. We welcome you to sign up for our membership service with this extremely low offer, and we look forward to hearing from you soon. Respectfully, William Devine, II BoomSpeed Support [email protected]
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2003 Download IE6(for free off Windows.com), sign up with Netfirms, Get 25 MBs of space and 5 GBs of Transfer. Something is wrong with my IE6 and whenever I open the thing it automatically has an error and shuts down. I get the "error reporting" thing. Whenever I try to update it I get a message saying a newer version already exists on my computer even if I get an update. I try to remove the old one, but it acts like it's an ingrained part of Windows XP. I go through the motions of removing it, but it's still there.
