Guest treble charged Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 "Chris, go defend your country." "But I'm from Winnipeg!" "That's your excuse for everything." Jericho is a native-born American--his mother was in a Detroit hospital when he was born. He has lived most of his life in Winnepeg, though. I thought Jericho was born in Long Island because he was born during the hockey season when his dad was playing for the Rangers.
Guest Choken One Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 That doesn't mean he was born in Long Island...Maybe his mother lived in Detroit or maybe the rangers were playing the Red Wangs that night....
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 WHINE! Stick it in CE. Mindless Partisan Bashing is A-OK here and firing back or defending your position on the left/right spectrum isn't allowed. Just say something generalizing and demeaning about lefties and leave it alone.
Guest treble charged Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 Well, I remember reading an article in a Raw magazine that said he was born on Long Island, so that's what I was going by.
Guest treble charged Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 Here, from the November 1999 Raw magazine interview: Raw: Where are your from originally. Jericho: I was born in Long Island, New York, but I grew up in Winnipeg. My dad [Ted Irvine, star player for the NHL New York Rangers in the '70s] was from Winnipeg, and he used to play for the Rangers. I was born during hockey season and in the off-season we lived in Winnipeg.

And screw the leftist pinko meatheads.
Guest Big Poppa Popick Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 Would any wrestlers/crew have time to be in the Reserves? I don't think any of them would, due to their schedule. They work a lot of weekends, and I think that's when you do your time in the Reserves. God forbid Road Dogg get recalled to active duty... he is in no shape for duty

Guest RenegadeX28 Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 Well, no war tonight, Saddam has 2 days to leave, if not, the U.S will attack.

Guest Dangerous A Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 I think that the War in Iraq WILL have some effect on the buyrate of Wrestlemania. The only way it won't is if the war is over early. If it's a knock out, drag out affair, WM may not have as big a buyrate as WWE would like.
Guest Choken One Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 Does any one honestly expect Saddam to go "Shiit...For Real? All right...Cool, I walk away..."
Guest AndrewTS Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 Well, no war tonight, Saddam has 2 days to leave, if not, the U.S will attack. SD sign: "We haven't gone to war yet...but by the time you read this..."

Actually, It might be higher...Some people might look at WM as a Nice Break from The War, Remember how Baseball ratings SHOT after 9/11...People wanted a diverson...WM could actually benefit in some ways...If that makes sense...and besides...It won't be a Knock out punch War....
Guest El Satanico Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 All I know is that if Excessive pointless war coverage screws up March Madness I will be highly enraged.
Guest EternallyLazy Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 whether the war to pay bush's oil company buddies happens or not, Raw will not stand proud. (well it could, but it won't) lol it is kind of funny how so many anti-Bush protesters bring that up, but can't actually supply any evidence to back it up

Where's our evidence? Not saying it's not true... BTW, E.L., is that quote under your avatar from Remo Williams? That sounds like a Chiun quote.

(well it could, but it won't) lol it is kind of funny how so many anti-Bush protesters bring that up, but can't actually supply any evidence to back it up People I know who work at the refineries in my area say that the war is almost DEFINITELY not about oil, mainly because the refining equipment used in the US today is for the variety of oil found in areas like Venezuela rather than Iraq's high-grade crude. It would take several years and a sizable investment for the US oil companies to convert the refining equipment so that it could process Iraqi oil.
Guest Eagan469 Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 FOX News is reporting the Iraq troops south of Bagdhad are armed with chemical weapons uh-oh
Guest LatinoHeat Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 All I know is that if Excessive pointless war coverage screws up March Madness I will be highly enraged. When war coverage interrupts the games will be broadcasted on MTV and Nick. I don't see what the problem is...
Guest Choken One Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 Why Nick? Just give it to UPN, TNN and MTV...I just feel weird watching Rugrats during halftime...
Guest El Satanico Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 We'll see...I'm just saying I hope that i'm not going to be pissed off Thursday. If they correct it and every game is shown just as scheduled then I won't have a problem. But the excessive news coverage will still end up pissing me off just like it did during Desert Storm and the whole week after 9/11.
cawthon777 Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 Also, bashing Fox News is appropirate at any time, in any folder. Anyways, back to the war. Them be fighting words.
Guest Trivia247 Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 hehe ask a Simple question with some Political Venom And it becomes a valid debate.. anyway obviously my question was answered for now bushy only talked for 15 minutes, and War will take a coffee break for two days. Now back to bitching about the lack of Emerald Fusions and Thunder Fire Bombs in our weekly intake of WWE wrestling.
Guest Trivia247 Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 BTW....HAKU FOR PRESIDENT Paid for by the Samoan TAKER Hoss Lobby.

Fox news is conservatively biased... I agree. But CBS and most of the mainstream networks are Liberally biased. But I guess that's okay eh?

At least CBS doesn't consider a Phrase "Fair and Balanced" As a Marketable tag line and said it every single time they go for a commercial break to try to convince us Hey..... We are Fair and balanced even if we are Slanted over the cliff on the Right!

I would think it would be higher, myself. On an interesting note, WrestleMania VII (which took place toward the end of the Gulf War) aired to the largest PPV audience to date at that time.
