WrestleMania XIX Press Conference

I just got back from the WrestleMania XIX press conference at the ESPN Zone. It started off with Shane McMahon going around signing autographs, etc. When the show starts The Coach comes out and makes the first announcement for WMXIX (Miller Lite Girls will be there). They came out and took a seat. He also mentions how Limp Bizkit will be performing as well. Bischoff comes out, says how it's his first WM, etc. Next, Booker T was introduced and he talked. Then came out HHH. He said how Booker was a good wrestler for making to WM, but Booker can't beat him. Bichoff then introduced Austin. A big "Rocky Sucks...WHAT...Rocky Sucks...WHAT" chant started. Then when the fans said Rocky Sucks, Austin followed in saying What.

 

After the RAW section of WM was laid out Stephanie was introduced and a big "Sexy" chant started. She introduced Brock. He mentions how he will take the belt, etc. Everyone started an "Austin vs. Brock" chant. Austin then stood up and took the mic, saying if Brock keeps talking about his match with Kurt he won't become the youngest two time WWE champ ('cause Austin would whoop him). Next Kurt came out. He didn't mention his neck, but he said the Brock would in no way take the belt from him. Then the two respective champs, Kurt and HHH, stood toe to toe, nose to nose for some poses. I can't tell if he got all of it but all of a sudden HHH kissed Angle. Next, Stephanie introduced Hogan. He said how Hulkamania won't die, he's going to win, and how he prevented Vince from going to jail (didn't catch everything since everyone kept cheering and making noise). Vince came out lastly. He said how everything Hogan said is a lie. Hogan is a coward and he will kill Hulkamania. Hogan gets up and says how he sees fear in Vince and basically he isn't worried about Vince at WM.

 

Then they had the questions from the press. Honestly the only two I remember were (to Vince) how are the Goldberg negotiations...his reply was their still talking. The other one was to Kurt about his neck. Angle said that he won the gold medal with a broken neck and he will beat Brock with a broken neck. When everything was over it was a mad dash to take out photos, get autographs, etc. I got a WMXIX chair and Shane's autograph. I took out a lot of nice pictures as well. Inside the ESPN Zone was "electrifying", but outside there were a ton of disappointed people (I'm surprised I didn't get mugged for the chair...it's a good thing I moved fast).

Hey, I think Steph is sexy, but if you read that review again you could clearly see that they were chanting for Kevin Nash.

another note: eric bischoff is denying the fight he and ric flair had backstage prior to raw.

He very well could. It'd be like that skit from Kids in the Hall, just substitute Scott Thompson for HHH and the rest for others.

I was there and the place was crowded, those guys are huge up close except for Kurt, the guy must be 5'11 or 6' tall because he was around my height but it was still great to see him. It seems that Austin and Hogan can't stand each other in real life b/c they can't even look at each other and i overheard(i'm not really sure about this since i couldn't get into ESPNzone) that somebody asked if there was legit heat between those two and will they ever make up, and Austin quickly responded with a big no.
