I would say it's got to make up more than that. Where'd you get that figure? In fact, house shows are generally better than TV and I prefer them to either. You prefer house shows to house shows? But I bet what you wrote made sense and I didn't get it! It wasnt Big dick Dudley, it was big Dick Hertz. It was after he had retired but the show was in LaCrosse Wisconsin, not too far from his hometown. He was in the crowd and chatted/signed autographs/shook hands. He retired? I thought they got rid of him. Wasn't he only in the business for under a year by the time he got to ECW?

This isn't that great of a timne to cut out house shows though, because everything does good business around Mania. I think you misread. I said I prefer house shows to TV. Generally longer matches, house shows get a little experimental with the work, a lot more playing to the crowd, cheaper tickets and better seating.

"These shows (where nothing is being taped) averaged around 2,600 fans for the three month period and around $88,000." That figure does not include mercahndising, and alone is less than 5% of the gross revenue.

Only going by memory here, but yes, I do believe he retired. To live in Wisconsin which was why he was in the audience for this particular show.
