Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted March 21, 2002 Why should Hogan be the one to end Undertaker's streak.
Guest goodhelmet Report post Posted March 21, 2002 Becausethat could be a sign for Taker to hang em up leaving the smarks happy, and it would give Hogan his memorable farewell at Mania keeping the marks happy; allowing both wrestlers to be in the same match not taking wrestlers like the Rock and Flair down with their pathetic wrestling attempts... but it would be a magical moment As for Taker losing at Mania, I had stated previously on another thread that the ideal situation would be for some young unknown monster (like Lesnar) to come in and just destroy Taker, killing the myth of the Badass once and for all but Taker (for loving the business so much and being a leader and all) would probably never go for that. Guest mastermind Report post Posted March 21, 2002 I see what you're saying about Taker/Hogan. However, I just think that Mania match was so special in the regards to the Hogan backing against the new blood Rock that it will transcend into the legendary status of Mania for years to come(okay, so I've been listening to Blassie to long*lol*). Seriously, Hogan went out a face in that match pretty big. Maybe it also has to do with the crowd reacting to Hogan without it being manufactured through a storyline. It was genuine Hogan heat. I loved that. Plus I'm bias I want my city to be the one with the last Hogan Mania match ever for historic reasons. I agree Taker really should lose his streak to someone like Lesnar, but you are right he won't go along with it. Taker should appear as the real Taker at Mania next year for that nostalgic trip like we had with Hogan this year. Having both Hogan and Taker do this might be over doing it. I say Hogan retires at SummerSlam along with Flair. Now I don't think it's fair to Austin(you see I don't hate on the man just call him out on ruining the storyline of the split and also setting himslef heatless without the nWo) shouldn't face Flair at WrestleMania. It should be SummerSlam. Austin needs a high profile match with Rock. I'm saying this because beating Flair isn't a big deal because Flair always jobs. It's more suited for something like SummerSlam.
