Make A Wish Foundation Kid...

Recommended Posts

Guest Your Olympic Hero
WXIX-TV (Fox affiliate) in Cincinnati ran a story Tuesday night about a local 12-year-old wrestling fan afflicted with a rare genetic disorder. With the help of the Make-A-Wish foundation, he will be traveling to Seattle for WrestleMania on March 31st. On Tuesday, he was a guest ring announcer for a local Heartland Wrestling Association event and was visited by Rosey from Three Minute Warning of the WWE. The story talked about his love of wrestling and talked a bit about his disease. To read the related story that's been posted on the station's website, click here: Make A Wish Smack Down. [Thanks to the anonymous PWTorch.com reader for sending the story]

OK I'm not denying that this was an great gesture for the kid, but..... Rosey???? Why?

It's nice to hear that a child with a serious medical condition enjoyed hanging with Rosey. Good for the both of them. I do think that it is very nice that so many wrestlers are involved with children's charities like Make A Wish.

Did he request Rosey?

Anyway, that stuff is so nice. We raised $10,000 for Make a Wish back in 2001 at school, and 2 kids got to have their wish granted. One little boy got to meet Austin for his wish. He came back with pictures and stuff... aww, so cute.

Rosey? Well, I guess to each their own.

If you could choose one wrestler to meet who would it be?

I guess mine is pretty obvious.

For a kid who's gonna die, he sure has some low standards.

Fuck if I could make a wish to meet a wrestler, I'd at least want to meet Rikishi, the higher Samoan on the food chain.

"Well I wanted Stone Cold but ... this is fine ... and you are?"

"I'm Rosey from 3 Minute Warning, little man! You know - 'Three minutes and we're outta here...'"

"...Oh, so that's you? Hmmm. :( "

Me, I'd want the Hitman.

I heard about this from someone who saw it on the news and from what he said I think what happened was that his wish was to be able to ring announce and so they let him do the HWA show and the only really recognizable wrestler there was Rosey, so as a nice gesture he went on to go visit him and they gave him the chance to come to Wrestlemania. I don't think Rosey was part of his wish.

From the sounds of it, going to see Wrestlemania was the big deal in this, and the visit from Jamal was tacked on as a bonus along with guest announcing the HWA event.

Yeah Wrestlemania could have been the wish too, sounds like a better wish to me. Either way his wish wasn't to be visited by Rosey, he just visited him to be nice, probably at the WWE's request.

On Tuesday, he was a guest ring announcer for a local Heartland Wrestling Association event and was visited by Rosey from Three Minute Warning of the WWE.

Then Bishoff came out to announce that the kid's three minutes were up, and then...

Sorry, that was cruel.

I wouldn't mind my dying wish being meeting 3MW.

As long as I got to hear their music.

I would want to meet Dustin if I was dying. I've already met Regal and Booker and Dustin would complete the triple threat

He probably requested Jamal, but couldn't tell them apart so it didn't matter that much.

Interesting...To Answer the question...

To have an long convosation with...

Jericho, Raven, Dustin and Sean O' Haire (at least his character)

To just meet and greet

Austin, Flair and RVD

To say "Fuck You" to

TEST

To Stare at

Trish Stratus

More proof Rosey is the nicer one.

"Well I wanted Stone Cold but ... this is fine ... and you are?"

"I'm Rosey from 3 Minute Warning, little man!  You know - 'Three minutes and we're outta here...'"

"...Oh, so that's you?  Hmmm.    :(    "

I like how he sings his theme song when people don't recognize him.

Then Bishoff came out to announce that the kid's three minutes were up, and then...

Sorry, that was cruel.

No, it was great.

I'm sure he was.

My question ... why would Rosey be at an HWA show?

Rosey was probably learning to wrestle at the HWA show, so he met with the kid.

I would want to meet Matt Hardy. He seems like the most down to earth guy out of the whole bunch.

Cena, Guerrero, or Jericho would be the ones I'd want to meet. I love Austin, but he seems really dimwitted.
