Yuna_Firerose 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2003 ....and liked it? Good grief, I hope I'm not the only who liked watching this odd movie about the evil politics of kid shows.
Guest Nevermortal Report post Posted March 24, 2003 I though the flick was great, but I'm not shocked that it flopped. It wasn't commercially pleasing in the least.
Guest WrestlingDeacon Report post Posted March 24, 2003 I saw it when it first came out and generally liked it. I thought it fell apart a bit at the end going for a mushy ending and there was no need to turn Williams face. The stepdad song is hilarious as are a lot of the other bits from the kid show. However, it really missed the mark in not tackling and lampooning real kid show cliches and issues. It was like they created their own outlandish angles to avoid offending any real kid shows. Even Smoochy the Rhino who comes off as a take off of Barney doesn't really go after him in anyway.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted March 24, 2003 I also enjoyed this movie very much. I didn't think it was possible for Robin Williams to be good in a comedy movie role anymore.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Report post Posted March 24, 2003 This movie fucking rules it. I love when Robin Williams tries to light himself on fire.
Guest Fook_Hing_Ho Report post Posted March 24, 2003 Death to Smoochy is so underrated. Robin Williams rules all in that movie "I'm Rainbow Fucking Randolph!" Quote of the year right there.
Guest C.H.U.D. Report post Posted March 24, 2003 I love dark comedies, and this is one of the best!
Guest Human Fly Report post Posted March 24, 2003 Little things are what made this movie so good. Stuff like when Robin Williams is drinking coffee and spills it and then let's out a pained "My balls!" or "it was very tasteful, no bush" I saw some guy at the grocery store the other day who looked just like Buggy. HurriShane 0 Report post Posted March 25, 2003 I saw it and I really enjoyed it. But it's definitley not for everyone's tastes and I can see why some people didn't like it.
Yuna_Firerose 0 Report post Posted March 25, 2003 I was thinking of putting the "I'm Rainbow FUCKING Randolph" in my title, but it wouldn't just seem right under a Stevie and Victoria pic. Williams tap dancing just fucking owned, and so did the quirky, just too damned funny Rainbow-Smoochy ice show.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted March 25, 2003 I was thinking of putting the "I'm Rainbow FUCKING Randolph" in my title... I had that as my title for several weeks a month or two ago. Now why would you want to go and rip me off...Shame on you Yuna

Guest Kotzenjunge Report post Posted March 25, 2003 "It's a COCK! IT'S A COCK AND BALLS!!!" That's the line of the movie, I think, or Rudolph's through-his-teeth "FUCK!" when he sees Smoochy make the verbal save on the dildo.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted March 25, 2003 It was great anytime Robin Williams said something with Fuck in it. He like over emphasised it everytime he said it and it just made it hilarious.
