Guest Will Scarlet Posted March 27, 2003 Report Posted March 27, 2003 I am quite excited that RVD's going to be on Heat. I had no interest in ordering the PPV anyway, so I am glad I get to see someone like RVD when I turn on Heat this Sunday.
Guest bob_barron Posted March 27, 2003 Report Posted March 27, 2003 Again- it's not official that he'll be on HEAT
Guest Brian Posted March 27, 2003 Report Posted March 27, 2003 And either way he gets the sam pay, so it shouldn't matter.
Guest C-Bacon Posted March 27, 2003 Report Posted March 27, 2003 It's official now. Check WrestleMania.com. Those bastards.
Guest bob_barron Posted March 27, 2003 Report Posted March 27, 2003 That's interesting that they took it off. Why does it matter? Now all you RVD fans get to see him for free
Guest Brian Posted March 27, 2003 Report Posted March 27, 2003 He'll just be in the same crap match making the same bonus only you get to watch it for free.
Guest bob_barron Posted March 27, 2003 Report Posted March 27, 2003 Yea- You RVD fans should be elated. You can save $40 and still see RVD and get to bitch about what happens to him no matter what!
Guest C-Bacon Posted March 27, 2003 Report Posted March 27, 2003 That's interesting that they took it off. Why does it matter? Now all you RVD fans get to see him for free It's the principle of it all. RVD SHOULD be on the card. if i'm paying $50 i want to see my favourite most deserving wrestlers perform.
Guest bob_barron Posted March 27, 2003 Report Posted March 27, 2003 Then don't buy the show if it makes you that upset. He is on the card- He's getting the same bonus he would if the match was after 8.
Guest C-Bacon Posted March 27, 2003 Report Posted March 27, 2003 Well, i'll be buying the show regardless, its just fustrating is all. The guy continues to be one of the most over guys on the roster despite being jerked around by the booking committe. And even though im not a big fan, same goes for Kane and Lance Storm who's been pretty much praying to be on the card since X7. If anything moving the womens match to Heat would make more sense....
Guest bob_barron Posted March 27, 2003 Report Posted March 27, 2003 The womens has buildup going back to last year. The RAW match has buildup going back to last week.
Guest C-Bacon Posted March 27, 2003 Report Posted March 27, 2003 And you're only paying forty dollars. With tax and everything in Canada, it'll come out to be around $50. It's listed as $44.95
Guest Brian Posted March 27, 2003 Report Posted March 27, 2003 And it shouldn't matter to any of those guys, because they're still wrestling at the show and they're still getting the same pay. Better off then Test and everyone else.
Guest Polish_Rifle Posted March 27, 2003 Report Posted March 27, 2003 In the real world and in business, it's all about Who you know not What you know. It's a fact of life and it sucks.
Guest bob_barron Posted March 27, 2003 Report Posted March 27, 2003 Ummmm what? Kane is a McMahon darling and he's stuck on HEAT as well.
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted March 27, 2003 Report Posted March 27, 2003 Since Wrestlemania section is being a douche on wwe.com, I can't check for myself. I still think their gonna make some room for that match on the card. If not, it's gonna be pretty pathetic if RVD,Kane, Storm & Morley get kept' off the PPV and the Miller Lite girls get beat up in a lame ass "3 Minute" Segment.
Guest The Hamburglar Posted March 27, 2003 Report Posted March 27, 2003 I think I would rather watch the catfight to be honest... Too fucking right. Honestly, a show with Angle, Lesnar, Rock, Austin, Benoit, Eddy, Chavo, Booker and Rey on it is entirely negated by the fact that a shit spot machine doesn't get to be in an utterly pointless formula match that is guaranteed to bore?
Guest Goodear Posted March 27, 2003 Report Posted March 27, 2003 I don't get it. RVD and Kane will be in the same arena ... in the same ring... but like 20 minutes earlier (and for free) and this is supposed to be some gigantic slap in the face? The match will probably even be on the DVD if prior releases are any indication. What exactly are you missing out on here that makes it worth complaining about?
Guest AM The Kid Posted March 27, 2003 Report Posted March 27, 2003 Poor Storm I was so happy on Monday when they made the Wrestlemania match and now it might as well be flushed down the crapper.
Guest Your Olympic Hero Posted March 27, 2003 Report Posted March 27, 2003 This will be a quick match to get the crowd jacked. RVD & Kane will win, Dudleys will probably interfere... Morley and Storm will get the beat down of a lifetime.
Guest Your Olympic Hero Posted March 27, 2003 Report Posted March 27, 2003 Poor Storm I was so happy on Monday when they made the Wrestlemania match and now it might as well be flushed down the crapper. Storm fights like a little girl. His punches are WEEEEEAK. He really isn't as great as everyone says he is.
Guest bravesfan Posted March 27, 2003 Report Posted March 27, 2003 If anything moving the womens match to Heat would make more sense.... Yes, besides Angle/Lesnar, the only match with more than ONE MONTH OF ACTUAL BUILD-UP...let's get THAT off of the card. Throw that off so we get to see Kane stink up a Wrestlemania ring again at 9:30. I'll pass. Stop complaining about RVD's placement on the card. There's DOZENS of decent wrestlers being left off of the card entirely (Dudleys, Hurricane, Christian J. Hardy, etc.), so we should be appreciative of whatever RVD is receiving at this point; especially when he's getting a cut of the Wrestlemania payday, he will have NOTHING to complain about. It could be worse...
Guest bob_barron Posted March 27, 2003 Report Posted March 27, 2003 A-hem. Bravesfan- Hogan v. Vince is TWENTY YEARS IN THE MAKING! I think Rock v. Austin and the 3-way have more then a month of buildup. Los Guerreros hates them dating back to January and Benoit doesn't like them either dating back to when they debuted in December. And it pains me to say this but the Taker match does go back to October
Guest bravesfan Posted March 27, 2003 Report Posted March 27, 2003 I think Rock v. Austin.....have more then a month of buildup. Rock vs. Austin dates back to the promo Rock cut at the RAW following No Way Out. HISTORY and BUILD-UP are two different things in my mind, but I guess it can still constitute as the same. And it pains me to say this but the Taker match does go back to October Uggh. You're sadly correct there. Same with the 3-Way tag match, which dates back to the introduction of Team Angle.
Guest Mole Posted March 27, 2003 Report Posted March 27, 2003 I think I would rather watch the catfight to be honest... I think you need to get laid or something. You'd rather watch two women catfight than one of the most over wrestlers on Raw? Wow, Goodear is right.
Guest Quik Posted March 27, 2003 Report Posted March 27, 2003 Oh no... we don't get to watch RVD exectue his 6 or so flippy-floppy moves of doom after 8... Seriosuly, a lot of people here have to realize that maybe keeping Van Dam out of the ME was **gasp** a good idea. Ever think that his pop has diminished because fans see him do the same thing week in and week out now that he actually has to wrestle instead of using chairs, etc?
Guest Goodear Posted March 27, 2003 Report Posted March 27, 2003 I think I would rather watch the catfight to be honest... I think you need to get laid or something. You'd rather watch two women catfight than one of the most over wrestlers on Raw? Wow, Goodear is right. It's not that I'm like "OMG OMG CATFIGHT CAAAAAATFIGHT~!" I'm just like "RVD/Kane vs Morley/Storm? Meh." Sorry I'm not all fired up about this big huge match we're not missing out on anyway. I at least found the catfight commercial to be somewhat funny, which is more than I can say about the prospect of the tag match which I could probably catch in another 2 weeks on RAW anyway. I do need to get laid, by the way... but that's beyond the point.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted March 28, 2003 Report Posted March 28, 2003 If this was fucking Backlash or even SummerSlam and it was moved to Heat I wouldn't give two shits. But this is Mania. And the last mark part of me actually thinks that means something. To keep someone as popular as RVD...to a lesser extent Kane and the TAG TITLES for fucks sake off of Mania which is 4 hours long is ridiculous. That mark part of me has finally after all this time been killed by Vince McMahon.
Guest NoCalMike Posted March 28, 2003 Report Posted March 28, 2003 If anyone thinks the fans interest is waning because of his moveset they are delusional. Even if RVD is sloppy that would only bother smarks, and how in the hell could you be bored with RVD's moveset yet be highly entertained by Triple H/Steiner or an UT match, or other similar uppercard matches WWE currently puts it on. RVD just hasn't been involved in ANYTHING important in the past 8+ months, and when he does he has to job, or he ends up wrestling Jeff Hardy every other week for 2 months straight. If Vince wanted him over, it would be a breeze.
