McMahon talks about WrestleMania, Hogan, more...

Thanks to [email protected] and BeyondTheRing.com for sending in this recap.

The following is a transcription of Vince McMahon's March 26 appearance on "The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn" on ABC, as interpreted by Anthony Schilero.

Craig Kilborn plugged Vince McMahon's match against Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania XIX, and then showed some highlights of McMahon on SmackDown prior to introducing him; "This is Vince McMahon," said Kilborn.

Kilborn told McMahon he follows wrestling, but not like he used to, and said it's entertaining as hell. Kilborn talked about McMahon with his shirt off and asked if Bobby Heenan is still around. McMahon said yes. Kilborn said he would not like to see Heenan with his shirt off. McMahon said sometimes he looks at himself and laughs, and that he's not like his character in real life.

McMahon said he does not go to church. He said he used to beat up his brother when they were younger, and that he was a big trouble maker when he was a child, and he still is now. They talked about McMahon being 57 years of age and stepping back in the ring with the 50-year-old Hulk Hogan. He said that he and Hogan have patched things up and that their relationship is solid compared to where it used to be. McMahon said Hogan's skin is like leather, and that he helped Hogan become a star. He talked about Hogan walking out on the World Wrestling Federation and going to Ted Turner's wrestling organization.

McMahon talked about some of the stars of now: Kurt Angle, Steve Austin, Triple H, and Booker T. were the names he mentioned.

Kilborn asked about the whole WWF/WWE situation, and McMahon told him about the World Wildlife Fund causing the WWE to lose their former name. McMahon said he does fairly well financially, and that he has put all of his competitors out of business.

They talked about the XFL and how McMahon thought it would turn out to be a success, or else he wouldn't have created it.

The show then went to a commercial break and Kilborn said there would be five questions with Vince McMahon when the show returned.

After coming back from the break, Kilborn asked McMahon the five questions:

1.) Q: What is your favorite Celine Dione song? A: None.

2.) Q: For what movie did Marisa Tomei win Best Supporting Actress? A: "Titantic." Correct answer: "My Cousin Vinny."

3.) Q: What are five things you can do in the ring while the referee's back is turned? A: Pull your opponent's hair, poke your opponent in the eyes, kick your opponent in the groin, choke your opponent, and throw your opponent down hard.

4.) Q: What is the name of a breakfast cereal that does not end in the letter "S?" A: "Who eats that crap?" Correct Answer: "Raisin Bran."

5.) Q: Kilborn asked McMahon if he could take a photo of himself placing a headlock on McMahon. A: McMahon agreed to take the photo.

After taking the photo, Kilborn said it was nice to meet McMahon and that was the end of Vince's segment on the show.

Kilborn interviewed his next guest, Rosalyn Sanchez (actress from the movie "Basic"), and he later brought McMahon back out to play "Yambo, a brain teasing game of skill and intelligence," with her.

Kilborn asked Sanchez to name two jams besides strawberry. She said blueberry and cranberry.

Kilborn asked McMahon who won the World Series last year and McMahon said he doesn't follow baseball.

Kilborn asked McMahon who his third grade teacher was and McMahon said he failed third grade.

He asked Sanchez how to say "Hulk Hogan" in Spanish, and she said "Hulk Hogan."

Kilborn told McMahon to come up with a wrestling name for him. Vince said "The Stick."

Finally, Kilborn asked Sanchez to name a movie besides "Basic" that starred John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson. She said "Pulp Fiction" and was declared the winner to end the show.

In the interview Vince looked nervous or maybe he had too much to drink at the green room, but it did look like he was not comfortable at the show.

McMahon talked about some of the stars of now: Kurt Angle, Steve Austin, Triple H, and Booker T. were the names he mentioned.

Vince was ask about Wrestlemania and went through the line up of the big stars.......the reaction to HHH by the crowd did surprise Vince.

Kilborne also aired a skit of McMahon parodying the Home Shopping Network before hand. He was selling the an XFL helmet, and then he said he'd throw in the whole damn XFL, that player HeHateMe, and a Wrestlemania Jersey for $29.99. Funny as hell to see VinnieMac joking about his failure.

The crowds "reaction" was a few women screaming wildly at the mention of HHH's name. Nothing more.

Well the crowd did scream wildly for all names mentioned, in a cheap pop kind of way, I think Vince was expecting the crowd to boo HHH, Booker T got the same response after a pause by Vince.

You could tell Craig knew nothing about wrestling in the last 15 years though. Asking if Jimmy Snuka was still around, and if Bobby Heenan's still with the company.

Vince came off very uneasy for the most part. But he wasn't in character.

ehhh...the other one was 3 pages long by the time the show was over, so this works for me I guess.
