RVD will get curtain jerker pay, and he deserves better than that.

Not really- There's only so much room they have and RAW basically has two top heels- Triple H and Jericho who are both occupied this Sunday.

So in your opinion someone like HBK (who wrestles every 3 months) deserves a spot at Mania more than RVD?

If HBK puts over Jericho, it does more good than RVD being in some boring tag match that can just as easily take place on Heat for free. Michaels is also a bigger name than RVD, and is probably more likely to draw in other buyers, especially fans who may have been out of the loop for the last little while and didn't know that he was 'back'.

If it was 1996 i would agreed with HBK being a bigger name, but the fact that a lot of new fans don't know who he is (since they started watching b/c of Austin)and he's been pushed down our throats , stealing other wrestlers spots by wrestling every 3 months while tanking as a champion with the ratings doesn't make him a bigger name.

As much as I hate HBK the answer is yes. There's no use in filling up Mania with a match that has no backstory at all. On HEAT they can use the tag title feud to further the angle they have going and blow it off at a much more opportune time

I'd rather see Shawn go out and put Jericho over rather then RVD v. Jericho Part 800003.

What makes you think that HBK is putting Jericho over?

Guest bob_barron

Because of the way the feud has been booked and the fact that HBK and Jericho are good friends and HBK seems to have a new outlook on life.

..and even if he -does- "put over" Jericho, what the hell is it going to matter? Yeah, the match may be decent-good..but you might as well have the "meaningless, formula tag match" in there instead..

..because after everything is over, it's not going to matter worth shit. Where's he going to go, up the card? Riiiight. Nobody has upward mobility on Raw right now..or for the last what, year?

Nothing will change even if Jericho wins..yet people around here still maintain it's necessary to have that match on the card.

It really isn't.

Who made you an expert in how to book a match?HBK is still the same hypocrite he was years ago, if he had a new outlook in life he would've retired again last year instead of stealing other people's spot b/c his buddy is doing the owner's daughter.

When did I say I was an expert?

The feud has booked as Jericho trying to take HBK's spot and prove that he is better then him and since HBK is old and Jericho is not- it makes sense Jericho is over.

HBK did not come back because HHH is doing Stephanie. He came back because Nash got hurt and they needed someone to fill his spot at Summerslam.

As much as I hate Shawn he isn't really stealing anyone's spot except at the Elimination Chamber. I'm not blaming him for Armageddon since the bookers could've easily made that a 3-way.

I hate HBK much more then you will ever know but I think he's gonna do the right thing.

And if he doesn't- I'd still rather they do HBK v. Y2J then RVD v. Y2J

HBK is the only one looking strong going into this feud, if Jericho wins you think he will automatically be elevated into main event status? I doubt it, him winning won't mean anything if he is stuck in midcard purgatory.

If they put over the victory as a big deal then yes I think he will.

Jericho has destroyed HBK on the mic and at the RR so it's not like he's been getting killed in the feud

Hey dude, that's your opinion not mines. Jericho beating HBK won't turn into a big deal, Triple H won't allow that type of nonsense.

This is why RVD's on Heat.

What does it matter that he's on HEAT? He still gets the same bonus and now you can watch him for free

He gets his portion of the live gate receipts, but he won't get a portion of the PPV buys like the people on the PPV will get.

Wrestlers, aside from the main events, get the same share of the bonus for HEAT as they do the pay per view.

HULK, A different beast indeed.

Well this Hulk could carry anyone to a good match even Vince, but the AGING balding orange Hulk can't even carry himself to the crapper. where he belongs.

That post sucked, yo.

Yeah, Vince worked well with people who had full mobility and could bump or people who could work. But Hogan's a different beast.

Yeah, a beast of a man!

But Shane's a pretty good bumper. With Hogan, that's a handicap.

I call Shane "GAYne." I just though that was very relevant.

Funny thing is reading the report from Meltzer about SmackDown, the one serious segment they've done to actually build the match caused them to get the biggest pop when running down the card. And masturbating match gets the main event slot.

What? What "one serious segment"? I don't remember any comedy Funaki stuff going on with them.

Because of the way the feud has been booked and the fact that HBK and Jericho are good friends and HBK seems to have a new outlook on life.

It's sad if that second thing has anything to do with who wins.

And as for the third, I don't think Shawn's in the position to pick if he wants to win or lose anymore. Even with all of this apocryphal Triple H stuff.

The feud has booked as Jericho trying to take HBK's spot and prove that he is better then him and since HBK is old and Jericho is not- it makes sense Jericho is over.

That almost got a "That post sucked, yo," but it wasn't your whole post and it made me laugh. Maybe next time! B-) :P :D ;)

As much as I hate Shawn he isn't really stealing anyone's spot except at the Elimination Chamber. I'm not blaming him for Armageddon since the bookers could've easily made that a 3-way.

Who else could they have put in the Chamber? Test? Christian?

And who would they have done a three-way with?

I hate HBK much more then you will ever know but I think he's gonna do the right thing.

And smoke that Spike Lee joint.
