What concerts are you attending?

Recommended Posts

Guest Galactic Gigolo

I had to plan out my schedule for the couple months so I figured I might as well start a thread.

I get into all these concerts for free because I work for a newspaper. The hour or two it takes to write a nice review of a concert is definetly worth it.

I'll post a review everytime I go to one of these things, as should all of you.

Tuesday, the 25th, I went to see Simple Plan, Gob, and Diffuser at the Trocadero in Philly. What a horribly boring concert. Simple Plan was the highlight simply because they had energy and the fans were into it.

April 5th - Tim McGraw, First Union Spectrum, Philly - Girl asked me to get tickets, and since I have to pick them up, I have to go. Yuck.

April 8th - Def Leppard, First Union Spectrum, Philly - : : sigh : :

April 10th - Biohazard, Trocadero, Philly - Not 100%. Might go for the hell of it.

April 11th - Stella, Trocadero, Philly. Comedy show that is supposed to be funny.

April 12th - ROH/CZW BOTB 3, Philly - This will rule.

April 17th - Everclear, Authority Zero, Electric Factory, Philly - Sort of like Everclear.

April 18th - Evanescence, Electric Factory, Philly - Whoo!

April 19th - ICP, Electric Factory, Philly - Whoo! Whoo!

April 23rd - Wallflowers, TLA, Philly

April 25th - Stephen Lynch, TLA, Philly - Kind of funny comedian/singer.

OR

April 25th - Evan Marriott (Joe Millioniare), Trump Marina, Atlantic City - I think he's doing comedy. I must see this doofus.

April 28th - Pearl Jam and Sparta, First Union Spectrum, Philly - Not too psyched about it.

April 29th - Lifehouse, TLA, Philly - They're gay, but not supergay.

OR

April 29th - Foo Fighters, Tweeter Center, Camden

May 2nd - Good Charlotte and New Found Glory, First Union Spectrum, Philly - Because seeing them once at the Y100 Feastival wasn't enough to fulfill my crappy punk rock needs.

May 4th - American Hi-Fi/The Unseen, Trocadero, Philly. Once agian, just for the hell of it.

May 6th - Nothingface/Lollipop Lustkill, Electric Factory, Philly.

May 10th - matchbox 20 and Sugar Ray - Well, we can all hope that MB 20 is on first, so I can the hell out of there.

May 17th - Avril Lavinge, Simple Plan, and Gob - Avril has a couple 'not bad' songs, but as I said earlier, seeing Simple Plan and especially Gob once isn't enough for me.

May 27th - Powerman 5000, Stone Sour, Electric Factory, Philly - This will be awesome.

July 12th - Linkin Park, Metallica, Limp Bizkit, Deftones, Veterans Stadium, Philly - Should have a great atmosphere to it.

July 27th - Lollapalooza, Tweeter Center, Camden - This probably won't be very good.

August 7th - Ozzfest 2003, Tweeter Center, Camden

August 8th - Warped Tour, Tweeter Center, Camden - Because I need 12 hours of punk music in my life.

August 9th - Justin Timberlake/Christina Aguilera, Boardwalk Hall, Atlantic City - Because after the Warped Tour, I'll need one more reason to kill myself.

NOOOOOOOOOO! Sinbad (Yes, motherfucking SINBAD!) is appearing in Atlantic City the night of the ICP concert. NOOOOOOO!

: : exhales : :

Jesus Christ that's a long list, and a lot of long distance to CA phone calls to make.

Saw Sigur Ros this past Thursday (really, really good show). Within the next month, I have on my platter:

4/06: Fishbone

4/11: WOSP (college station I work at) 10th Anniversary Show. It's featuring four-or-so local acts.

4/20: The Delgados, w/ Aereogramme (this will require a two hour drive to Orlando).

05/21: Radiohead

I tend to plan on buying tickets for gigs but end up forgetting about them until the day after they take place. But not this time.

I plan on going to the 5/16 show of MetalFest, Metallica on 7/6, and maybe OzzFest when it comes around here. If any other shows (preferably at the Worcester Palladium) pop up, I'll probably go to them too.

Damn, that's a real nice line-up. I was supposed to see Trapt a few weeks ago, but I made the big mistake of contacting the venue they were holding the concert at instead of Trapt's publicist. Thus, while they told me I'd have two tickets and a photopass at the door, it turned into one ticket and no photopass.

: : sigh : :

Have fun, wish I could attend.

I saw Bruce Springsteen a week ago. What can I say? He is still the Boss.

There's nobody else really coming my way who I plan on seeing sadly.

Lollapalooza- Tweeter Center July 25, other than that maybe a few good club or theater shows if they come up.

I would go to a 50 Cent/Fabulous concert but I don't really know anyone who wants to go with me.

I wanted to see the Beta Band at (I think) the Phoenix on the 14th, but it's apparently been cancelled. Burn.

Thinking of checking out the Mike Watt concert at the Horseshoe in May.

I'll probably hit up the Milwaukee Metalfest, and maybe Ozzfest. I'm still on the fence if I should go or not. Cradle of Filth is tempting, and I need to decide if I think Shadows Fall are good or not.
