Guest The Superstar Report post Posted March 30, 2003 How the HELL are we gonna top this for Angle-Mania III? Have me win the title
Guest caboose Report post Posted March 30, 2003 How the HELL are we gonna top this for Angle-Mania III? My advice: Wembly Stadium, or the Olympic Stadium in Sydney (If it's still up.) It's funny you chose those two, cos Wembley Stadium (RIP) has already been torn down and Sydney will be soon.
Guest Tony149 Report post Posted March 30, 2003 AM II was a fun experiment. We were obviously spoofing WrestleMania 2 by doing the show from three different locations - and it came off well. I wasn't too happy with the commentary I wrote for Mike Tenay and Vince Russo; that was my fault as I don't get to see TNA as often as I would like, so I didn't have a feel how Tenay would act; Russo only did a few announcing gigs for the WWF, but I'm better suited writing promos for him (when I used too) than commentary. I have J.R. & Jesse down. I like Zsasz's idea about using one of those arenas for AM III.
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted March 30, 2003 The only problem with the commentary was that Cole/Coach welcomed us to their portion of AM2, as if it were the first time, atleast 3 different times!
Guest HollywoodSpikeJenkins Report post Posted March 30, 2003 The only problem with the commentary was that Cole/Coach welcomed us to their portion of AM2, as if it were the first time, atleast 3 different times! I thought it was... My bad.
Guest Lightning Flik Report post Posted March 31, 2003 Well, AM2 was a great show. I really liked it. At least this one with the triple city showing was played out TEN times better than WM2 did. Except for the welcoming bit. Even I have to say that was a little unusual.
Guest Tony149 Report post Posted March 31, 2003 As for the welcoming thing, it was. Every time we headed back to their portion of the show, they welcomed us back. I wonder if the OAOAST will even be around for AM III. I'm glad everybody enjoyed the show.
Guest Sandman9000 Report post Posted March 31, 2003 Hey, no one said y'all were gonna make it to AM2! You've got a foundation now, build upon it. Getting to three will be easier then getting to two.

Getting to three will be easier then getting to two. Once any e-fed gets past their second year, it's easier to keep the ball rolling. Especially when it's got the momentum like this wonderful PPV. But one time they said "we have three great matches for you" even though they were on the last of three matches. But I see that was explained a few posts up so nevermind. Guest Tony149 Report post Posted March 31, 2003 Cole & Coach are fuck-ups -- good excuse, I'd say. It was probably an honest mistake; the order of matches changed around a few times. However, we do little things that some people might not notice (i.e., Jesse using 'ain't' instead of 'can't' -- just like he does in real-life, etc).
Guest Michael Joel Benoit Report post Posted March 31, 2003 AngleMania 2 was great! I was legitmaley pumped up for the show and I wasn't disappointed. All the matches were great to read as I could imagine the whole thing in my mind. I was into the show. THAT's how good it was. Good effort from all. I enjoyed how all our matches came out. Now I can't wait for AngleMania 3!!! How about we do a giant dome stadium for that one?
Guest Tony149 Report post Posted March 31, 2003 We're taking suggestions for arenas/domes/whatever for AM III, so throw out names.
Guest Michael Joel Benoit Report post Posted March 31, 2003 The Houston Astrodome. The Toronto Skydome. The Georgia Dome. How about AngleMania 3 takes place at the Superdome in New Orleans and the show has a "Mardi Gras" theme to it? We could also have the show at Roberto Clemete Stadium in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Which is the hometown of my wrestler. Roberto Clemete Stadium hosts 30-40,000 people. But, I want the stadium to be used for another ppv.
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2003 I legitimately became teary eyed at the end of Zack/AS! What a great moment. AngleMania 2 > WrestleMania XIX

Guest Lightning Flik Report post Posted March 31, 2003 AngleMania 2 > WrestleMania XIX I agree. Totally. Triple the agreement.
Guest Michael Joel Benoit Report post Posted March 31, 2003 Quadruple the agreement. Maybe next we'll be saying that AngleMania III>WrestleMania XX. Could be. You never know.
Guest Kotzenjunge Report post Posted March 31, 2003 Anglemania III MUST be at Maracana Stadium in Brazil. 150,000 capacity for SOCCER. Imagine the capacity when that field is taken up by people due to the comparatively tiny ring.

Imagine the capacity when that field is taken up by people due to the comparatively tiny ring. Rough estimation of capacity would be 230000. What? I'm slacking off from actually calling the stadium and finding out how much. Geez... It's not like I actually do work here people.

CWM vows to take over the OAOAST on behalf of Canada, but Sault squashes him. AM VIII- Double Main event. 1. Mario claims to have had an afffair with efDDT's wife, and they fued. Despite constant Dungeon interference, efDDT finaly beats Me. 2. Sault retires for the first time, he fights Jingus, and the Dungeon runs in, Agnes sends everyone out. AM IX- Zack vs. Some fat guy. Zack loses, Sault comes out and steals the title. All of the established guys leave to the rival company. Mario reforms the Dungeon, Sault reforms the aWo. Backstage, Mario feuds with Vince Russo. AM XI- BPP jobs to Lawrence Taylor. The rival company goes out of bussiness and everyone returns, but are mocked by smartmarks for being old. Anglesault vs. CWM.
Guest Lightning Flik Report post Posted March 31, 2003 AM IX- Zack vs. Some fat guy. Zack loses, Sault comes out and steals the title. Dude. That fat slob would be The Slacker (and he's not fat, just well... pudgy), although I don't understand why Malibu would job the title to me. Unless it was all for Sault squashing me into nothingness. ^^^^^Is a joke as I'll never get a World Title shot till AMXX^^^^^

Guest Tony149 Report post Posted April 1, 2003 That's funny shit. But AM XX should 20 Years In The Making: Tony vs. CWM vs. AS; who created the OAOAST? Really, I was being serious, our PPV did resemble WM 2. That was the point. A while back Alf suggested doing the show from three different places like WM 2, I liked the idea and did it. The whole idea was supposed to parody WM 2. And judging by the feedback, we did, and produced a better show than WM 2.
