Guest Nevermortal Report post Posted March 30, 2003 Back in late '99, Al Snow was interacting with Mankind & The Rock a helluva lot, he even turned heel on Foley, and for a while, I was really buying the fact he could be a main event threat; but like all instances of upward mobility for new competitors in the WWE, it was quickly forgotten. My question is.....could any of you have actually bought Al Snow as a uppercard threat?

Enigma 0 Report post Posted March 30, 2003 If Al played the derranged psychopath, I could have definitely bought it. Al is so unbelievable at playing a mentally disturbed person, that I would have been more than willing to watch him main event. And they really were getting behind Snow at one point. Snow actually pinned The Rock in a Brahma Bull Strap Match one week on RAW and I thought the Snow\Rock\Foley triangle was fantastic TV. But they just seemed to forget Al Snow existed as the year 2000 started, which was a crying shame. Al is truly one of the sad stories in wrestling, as he never ever got his just desserts for the talent and charisma he has.
Guest creativename Report post Posted March 30, 2003 and what the FUCK is that in your signature? It's a South Park thing...they're supposed to be two alien Jewish ("Jewsian") executives taking part in an orgy.
Guest NoSelfWorth Report post Posted March 30, 2003 They really dropped the ball with him when Tough Enough was on. Fans were really into Al because of TE, and wanted to get behind him, but as has been the case in all but one instance since mid '99, they never gave him the push he deserved. But yeah, those are the two FOGNL network executives sucking each other's jagons with a finger in the thrusher as well.

That explains a lot about South Park... And didn't Rock beat Al Snow, then beat Mankind for the WWF Title or something later in the night, thus ending Snow's push, and that whole triangle? Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted March 30, 2003 If Snow had gone over both Foley and Rock in seperate matches, then easily.
Guest Will Scarlet Report post Posted March 30, 2003 I could have bought him as an uppercard heel. I kind of miss that heel run as his theme music back then ruled all if I remember correctly.
