NCAA2K3 stuff

Recommended Posts

One of the things that I've been doing very well with my team (the 2019-2020 New Hampshire Wildcats) in the three games I've played with them is causing turnovers. Like in games, the other team would turn the ball over 40 times.

So, I won the America East conference tournament (despite finishing 6-10 and being seeded 7th) by beating the Albany Great Danes by the score of 122-85. All five of my starters scored 20+ points (and when I tried to sub them all out, the damned coach who must be sort of a computer, put them all back in before the backups could play)

Now, the 16-14 UNH Wildcats play the Wagner Seahawks of New York, NY. (Wagner being one of the 40 schools to play out of NY)

Winner faces #1 Texas Tech.

Something tells me I am fucked against Tech.

Anybody else buy NCAA2K3?

I rented March Madness, by EA Sports, and that game was pretty sick. Has anyone played both and tell me which one is better?

I bought this game, as I figured it would be like Sega Sports basketball (good), whereas March Madness would be like EA basketball (crap).

Anyway, the reason you force so many "turnovers" is because this game sticks to Sega's tradition of counting balls knocked out of bounds, blocked shot, and goaltending calls as turnovers.

What's sad is that these Sega games have glitches up the ass, yet the're still so much more fun to play than NBA Live.

As for if the game is worth it, it's very similar to NBA 2k(whatever).

I would say rent first, because a lot of people prefer EA games. Of course, a lot of people are dumb...

;)

I just feel like if I'm playing a Street imitator, shouldn't I just play the original?

(although the original may technically be NBA Jam. <_< )

NCAA 2K3 is pretty solid, but I think they could do a lot more with the ESPN license. I don't really like the recruiting mode very much, but the gameplay is good times, with the exception of shooting. Very frustrating when you pull up instead of taking it strong or when your guy blows a wide-open jumper. I'm not talking about forcing bad shots either. I mean, wide-open looks at the hoop that just get bricked.

Still, the good outweighs the bad. This was the first college basketball game after a few years of NBA. I'm sure it will improve.
