Guest Youth N Asia Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 Seriously...they've copped out on his first two matches. Pretty much giving Taker a meaningless 2-1 Mania win. Why is Nathan Jones on tv if they don't fell strongly enough about him to have him in a match? And even his run in shit is very weak.
Guest Mindless_Aggression Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 Yeah, anyone notice him stutter big time before going with the spinkick? He looked lost. Then he did a big boot to Albert and for some reason that wasn't a DQ. I dunno, they did announce it as a handicap match and all. I'm sure he'll wrestle a few very quick squashes, and I mean one move and out on Smackdown for a while before they give up and send him to Cornette.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 It would be *great* television for them to try and see how many ways they can avoid putting Jones on tv. It'll be a running gag. FANTASTIC.
Guest BDC Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 Yes, kids, Nathan Jones' big debut at Wrestlemania and what did he contribute? Two kicks. Case closed.

Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 so...Does anyone else want to join me in the Nathan Jones fan club? I knew I started it for a reason.
Guest Trivia247 Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 I smell a Funaki vs Jones Feud in the future.... Not to Disbarage the Stellar career and ability of........ Funaki or anything But since the WWE has no idea what to do with peope like Funaki, and Vince and JR has a fetish over Hosses...especially Hosses that could work at their favvvorite Foreign resturant...the Outback Steakhouse... Jones will get his Squashes over Funaki to look all big n bad.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 C'mon guys! Let's help the WWE out here! *Jones is found backstage with a tummy ache and can't compete* *Jones is sleeping and won't wake up* *Jones is pregnant and lactating*
Guest Creepy Crawl Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 Nathan Jones licks Walrus nuts ......... case closed .
LooseCannon25 Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 They can just release the guy and say that he was just too dangerous and uncontrollable to be employed in the WWE. Then in a few months we see him interviewing people on Smackdown shows every week.

Guest myburninghammer Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 Hey, give the guy credit: that was his best match ever! Man, he looked scared as shit at fucking up out there.
Guest Space_Cowboy Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 (edited) Every time he's about to wrestle they could say his nipple started producing milk again and Jones ran off crying, they could stretch that out for a while. Edited March 31, 2003 by Space_Cowboy
LooseCannon25 Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 It's sad too because the guy looks like a monster, has a great look, and seems to be very athletic and agile. MAybe its just one of those where some people cant perform under pressure in front of a large audience. If so this guy is in the WRONG business.
Guest AndrewTS Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 so...Does anyone else want to join me in the Nathan Jones fan club? I knew I started it for a reason. Come up with a catchy name for it and you've got a deal. Hell, I'm a Boss Man fan, and that's still less shameful to me than if I were a Hogan fan. Boss Man/Jones fued = money! Although I'd die laughing if Jones' theme was changed to something by Men At Work.

MAybe its just one of those where some people cant perform under pressure in front of a large audience. If so this guy is in the WRONG business. Jones is a weight lifter, not a wrestler. Take a look at how Joanie looked like a pregnant cow whenever she "wrestled" and you've got an idea of how disasterous that can be. Or take a look at anybody billed as "the World's Strongest Man" who wrestled.

Those bearhugs and forearm smashes were breathtaking when Henry and PAtera did them
Guest Human Fly Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 I'm waiting for someone too start a thread saying that we should not be ripping on Nathan Jones and how bad he sucks before he wrestles a match in the WWF. Despite the fact that they continually find ways for him not to wrestle, and he looks incompetent doing 30 second run-ins and nothing about him suggests he could have a * match unless it was with 1988 Ric Flair. Tonight they had Little Guido (who I think is a heck of a talent, but let's face it is not even a player in the CW division yet) steal his wallet, and then he got a beatdown, which we didn't even see (probably because the WWF didn't trust his selling ability). Why did they sign him?
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 Are you guys thinking what I am thinking... YES! Guido vs. Jones! WHOOO HOOOO!
Guest Will Scarlet Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 It would be *great* television for them to try and see how many ways they can avoid putting Jones on tv. It'll be a running gag. FANTASTIC. The WWE needs another one of those. I kind of miss the whole Al Wilson storyline. That ended up being a pretty good running gag for me.
Guest AndrewTS Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 Why did they sign him? They thought that he only sucked in a "bad-workrate, no-selling, usual plodding hoss" way. Instead, they found out he sucks in a "Jackie Gayda incapable of even the most rudimentary aspects of pro wrestling way. After all, ring work is the last credential Vince really cares about when he signs hosses. Think about this--two words: Giant Gonzales.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 All I know is, that by now I dont think anyone cares about Nathan Jones.
Guest Trivia247 Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 Didn't the WWE have Jones for like a Year or so In one of the former Farm feds they had..then they released him...then Like Rehired him only recently? didn't they see him in WWA? Is there none of the famed Brain trust left?
Guest Creepy Crawl Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 Every time he's about to wrestle they could say his nipple started producing milk again and Jones ran off crying, they could stretch that out for a while. Thats fuckin funny .
Guest Zero_Cool Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 *Jones walks into Steph's office before his scheduled match against Albert* Jones: Uh, I have a note you should read. I can't compete tonight. *McMahon reads the note* Steph: Uhm, you have to go the dentist? And you won't be back until 9:05? Uhm, ok. Next week, he claims that he's going in for a laser eye correction surgery consultation.

Is there none of the famed Brain trust left? *VNN Update* Vince McMahon's head is unfortunately 98%--of the way up his ass. So there ya go.
Guest Mulatto Heat Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 The protectiveness of his booking is so transparent that it's flat out laughable when I see people justifying it. Bar none, if he was even decent he would have actually wrestled in that tag match tonight. I don't know how that could be denied. Speaking of, Taker went from being 2nd from the top 2 years ago to 2nd from the bottom this year. Ouch. Oh well.
LooseCannon25 Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 Anybody else foresee Jones working security at events like that Big Jim guy in the past. I can just see the action spilling into the crowd and jones with his WWE Staff T Shirt and walkie talkie directing the crowd backwards looking all confused.
