Guest Banky Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 Yea, so what do you think? And did all of you expect him to show up ni the match> I sure as hell didn't. He did talk about the match on the Best Damn Sports show a few weeks back. I never considered it. I sure hope he is around for a while, his heel character is entertaining. As long as he stays a bit player in the scheme of things.
Guest Choken One Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 I wasn't shocked to see him but I kinda was at the same time. If they make Piper a Mid-card heel...THEN I AM ALL FOR IT! Why Not? Do YOU want A-Train instead? I doubt they would have him show up at Mania and hit Hogan and just never come back...At least let him cut a Promo...
Guest Deebo Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 As long what happened tonight doesn't lead to another Piper-Hogan match.
Guest Blue Bacchus Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 I'd like to see Hogan v Piper. When I saw piper the first thing that popped into my fragile little mind was a comment about piper on the Hulk Still Rules DVD. When Hogan talks about how he and Piper could have done something great and made some real loot.
Guest Banky Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 Piper CAN be funny and articulate...a heel manager, announcer, or part time competitor would suit him well.
Guest Human Fly Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 Hopefully it was a one shot. Piper looked like someone's Grandpa out there tonight. I was a big fan of Hot Rod back in the day, but it's time to move on. If the WWF is hell bent on bringing in some old timer they should bring in Savage who still looks to be in excellent shape.
Guest Choken One Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 Oh, Yeah but Piper will show up for scrap food...Savage wants $5 Million...Not even Goldberg tried for that...
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 Well you know. I figured that an old guy would show up. I just didn't expect Piper. I thought he hated that place. Oh and I just kind of sighed when his run-in turned out to mean nothing.
LooseCannon25 Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 Did Piper have a Rikishi sized gut on him tonight or what........ I was almost as shocked with his gut then I was for seeing him......With that being said it was grea tto see the Hot Rod again and was a mark out moment for me. Even my girl was like "holy shit, it's Rowdy Roddy fuckin Piper...I havent seen him in years!"
Guest Choken One Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 Shouldn't the fact he did Hulk Rules DVD and The hype videos kinda of tell you he had nothing against WWE?
Guest Choken One Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 What did it say on his Shirt? Farts?
Guest Creepy Crawl Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 His legs were so whiiiiiiiite .
Guest bob_barron Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 He wasn't on the Hulk Still Rules DVD. I wouldn't mind if Piper was a manager but I don't think he can wrestle
Guest bob_barron Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 What did it say on his Shirt? Farts? It said FRATS and was a tribute to his FRAT brothers who have passed on
Guest Human Fly Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 Oh, Yeah but Piper will show up for scrap food...Savage wants $5 Million...Not even Goldberg tried for that... No way is Savage worth 5 mil. No Wrestler is. I bet his price has come down now though considering he is currently wrestling Pat Tanaka (whose career highlight is winning a throw away tag match at 'Mania 6 against the Rockers by countout.) for his internet only fed.
Guest Downhome Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 I expect him to be a manager of sorts, and IF he wrestles, it will be ONLY one match against Hogan, and that is all. He's great on the mic, and can be funny as hell. I see no reason for him not to stick around and help push new people, and just be his old great self.
Guest Choken One Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 Oh, I know...Just saying that Savage is insane but I like that in a 50 year old roid freak.
Guest bob_barron Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 A sober Piper kinda sucks though so his promos maybe come too rambly. That's what editing is for I guess. Do any of the fans even remember Piper?
Guest Choken One Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 I dud Piper in the late WCW days when he was all "LOVE WHAT U DO, Your the future!" every five seconds and all the Young guys cried and shit...
Guest Banky Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 Return of Piper's Pit? I'd dig that. I'd also dig a one time Macho/Hogan match. Savage, Piper, Sting, Bret, and a sober Jake Roberts are the only old time WCw/WWF stars worth bringing back.
Guest Downhome Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 A sober Piper kinda sucks though so his promos maybe come too rambly. That's what editing is for I guess. Do any of the fans even remember Piper? The fans at the PPV obviously did. When he revealed himself, the fans hit their feet and were poping for him.
Guest Choken One Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 Oh Yeah...Piper was like the 4th biggest pop of the night at the Bar...
Guest Trivia247 Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 Maybe we should Dig up Mr.T and Paul Orindorf and have a rematch from WM1 at WM 20?
Guest tank_abbott Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 Hey Snuka and Orton are still Kickin around as well...
Guest Trivia247 Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 don't forget Ali! sure Pat Patterson got something to do beside get McMahon some Coffee.... Too Bad we don't got Billy Martin to do the Announcing. or Liberachi with his little bell
HurriShane Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 I don't want to see Piper in the ring again, but I would like to see him as a manager or maybe have him take over for Lawler or Cole.
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 I hate Piper. I'm not ten years old anymore, and I grew out of his bullshit years ago. I really began to hate Piper in WcW, and I hate him even more now after he made a mockery out of Owen Hart's death on NWA:TNA a few weeks back.
Guest nl5xsk1 Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 Put me in the list of people that would have dug Mr. T coming out of nowhere to "save" Hogan from Piper again. They can't wait until next year's anniversery show to do it, so why not do it this year?!?
Guest notJames Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 Piper lives in Washington. This was merely a one-shot for the rubes to hoot and holler about. Considering how he "shot" all over Vince and Co. while he was in TNA, I'm surprised that he would take the handout and... Oh wait, this is Piper. I'm not surprised at all. Put me in the "Keep Piper's old fat lame boring ass out of WW_" camp. They have enough old-timers and talentless slugs. And with Goldberg, they have the biggest and worst of them all. (But I'll save that for another rant...)
