He spent about a month gaining credibility only to face HHH in a table match and lose. He never got a rematch, although I remember a screwy ending to the match. What was the point of that tv time wasted on Bubba if the outcome was just one throw-away match on RAW never to be mentioned again?

I liked it for the most part when it began. The promo that Bubba did with HHH right after Bischoff gave him the big gold belt was priceless to me and was a great,great beginning to the feud. But it never really went anywhere. I think they were just throwing some stuff out there to see what got over.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted April 1, 2003 Report Posted April 1, 2003 It ended on RAW and was never spoke of again because PEOPLE WALKED OUT OF THE HOUSE SHOW when it was the main event. so many people left that HHH grabbed a mic and buried Bubba on the spot saying that they were leaving because he wasn't in HHH's league. He was right this time...and the irony is that the entire audience is leaving because no one is allowed to be in HHH's league.

What was the point of that tv time wasted on Bubba if the outcome was just one throw-away match on RAW never to be mentioned again? because it's Bubba Ray Dudley and he won't ever make it as a singles wrestler and because it's HHH and he would prefer that no one else ever makes it as a singles wrestler, thus making it even harder for Bubba to do anything more than midcard tag matches

But Triple H is never, ever going to put Bubba or any other midcarder over again and it just kills any heat. It's not that Bubba is heatless or not seen as a threat, it's that Triple H is now a heat vaccum do to his political backstage dealings.
