its also why he gets the part time schedule and never seems to get in "trouble" for rumored lateness and what not or disciplined over him admitting he doesnt really care has no passion etc

He did get in trouble for his lateness last year when he was removed from house shows.

They stopped that around January I think and now he's voluntarily taking time off.

It's one of the reasons that Jeff never gets punished. He sells an unusually high amount of merch, and they can't afford to punish him too hard. At the same time, he's not committed to the business fullly, realizes that, and understands that this is some form of punishment (being excluded).

Helms probably.

How can you do that? What does he have that he can do this...

Jeff: I don't think I can wrestle on Saturday, Tuesday or maybe not even next Week in Raligh Vince, I need to rewind and rest the emotions of my troubled soul.

Vince: You live in Raligh, Jeff...You can't Skip down the block to the arena?

Jeff: Dad...I mean Vince...Have you even felt your soul tarnished from the bleakness of the heartless sickness of our emotionally corrupt world?

Vince: (Glazed)...Um...Sure Jeff, Go ahead and take those shows off and might as well skip the month after that...Work those *Personal Problems* Out.

I wouldn't be surprised if Jeff is the number three merchandise seller since the attitude era began, and Vince doesn't want to risk that. He gets fucking every other weekend off.

Jeff Hardy?

Top Three? No...Top 5 sure...

HHH

Jericho

Jeff (Hardyz)

Maybe Jericho, but his heel run really killed him, and Triple H was out a year. Same with Taker. Jeff's been consistent and he's always been kept strong.

True but HHH likely still sold well during the injury...

I think Jericho sold more as a heel then a Face...

I've seen an good deal of "Larger then Life" shirts being worn...

I'm pretty sure Trips merch slowed to a halt once he was injured. I don't have the numbers, but thev first year of his push didn't sell too well either, and it wasn't until people started catching on to the invicibility and took the title off him that he started doing well. Right now, it's doing as strong as ever probably.

Jericho's merch has been good lately, but not what it was in the summer of 2000.

There's just a whole lot more invested merch and design into Jeff and the Hardyz than just about anyone. It's obvious the WWE is cashing in on this cow as much as possible, something they haven't done as much with anyone else except those two and maybe Trips, but they've only done that within the comeback.

an aside:

people were buying HHH stuff like mad around summer 2000 through the march X7..i remember being at 3 local shows in that time period and it was selling like hotcakes

you know when he was still performing great and when they SHOULD HAVE went with the face turn

Which is around the same time period I was saying. It sol hot, slowed, came back up but not as strong.

How can you do that? What does he have that he can do this...

Jeff: I need some time off.

Vince: Well, Jeffery, to do that, you're going to ask... The Boss. *lightning crashes*

Jeff: Aren't you the boss?

Vince: I'm just the front. You need to go... Through THAT door.

He points to a doorway of large wooden doors with gold knobs. A plaque leads:

THE REAL TRUE UNDISPUTED LEADER

RULER MANAGER NUMERO UNO EL JEFE

WORLD WRESTLING ENTERTAINMENT

(in other words: The Boss)

*Nervous, Jeff goes through the door. It closes with a mighty THUD. He is in darkness*

Jeff: Hello? Anybody here?

*a light clicks on. A shilloutted figure stands at a podium*

Voice: WHO BE THISUHHHH!?

Jeff: Hello, God? It's me, Jeff Hardy.

Voice: Ah! YOU KNOW MY NICKNAMEUH! What is it you desireuhh?

Jeff: I'd like a week off every now and then. Just some time to spend with the family. I'm only a Raw midcarder and not very vital to the show, and I don't mind if I miss out on the pay from it and..

Voice: SILIENCE! We shall see if you are worthy or not! Let's see if you have properly filled your quotuhhhh of main event credentials!

*A bright sign with digital numbers suddently appears in the black air. On it reads*

-THIS YEAR-

SPINEBUSTERS: 0

SLEEPERHOLDS: 0

JOBS TO HHH: 0

JOBS TO TAKER: 0

Voice: What kind of a wrestler are you!? We're three months into the yearuhhhh and you haven't done any of this yet!

Jeff: To my credit, sir, I jobbed to the Undertaker approximately four times late last year.

Voice: Did you job to him in a match that's supposed you be your specialty?

Jeff: Yes. A ladder match, with the Undisputed title on the line.

Voice: Very gooduh! You have earned your request! Now get out of my sight! I have great plan to return this company to financial stabilituhhhhh..

Jeff: Yes, sir. Good day.
