KTID Posted April 2, 2003 Report Posted April 2, 2003 From RajahWWF.com: They announce that Rowdy Roddy Piper's talkshow "Piper's Pit" will return to WWE TV next week on Smackdown! -------------------------------------------------------------- Yippeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted April 2, 2003 Report Posted April 2, 2003 I personally don't care, but you probably should have put this as a spoiler.
Guest notJames Posted April 2, 2003 Report Posted April 2, 2003 Wonderful. Dated references, old unfunny jokes, loud spit-laden long-winded diatribes about nothing at all… Doesn't anyone in Stamford, CT learn from the mistakes of the past?!?
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted April 2, 2003 Report Posted April 2, 2003 Fuck Piper I'm shocked everyone is marking out for him so much.
Guest Midnight Express83 Posted April 2, 2003 Report Posted April 2, 2003 Doesn't anyone in Stamford, CT learn from the mistakes of the past?!? HEY! Don't knock my hometown just because of what is headquarted at 1425 East Main St.
Guest nl5xsk1 Posted April 2, 2003 Report Posted April 2, 2003 Piper hasn't cut a good - and coherent - promo in years. I give it a month until people here are bitching and moaning about him taking time away from the wrestling. Just because something WAS good, doesn't mean that it will be good now.
Guest Sandman9000 Posted April 2, 2003 Report Posted April 2, 2003 Doesn't anyone in Stamford, CT learn from the mistakes of the past?!? Well, at least they know better then to give him a microphone on a live TV show. Here, they can edit down whatever rant he goes on.
Guest dreamer420 Posted April 2, 2003 Report Posted April 2, 2003 I can't wait for Piper's Pit to return. His old shows were terrific and now that he is a little older and a little crazier it should lead to some interesting mic work.
Guest WhenDanSaysJump Posted April 2, 2003 Report Posted April 2, 2003 Stupid what if : What if Piper only got his foot in the WWE door so that he can get this segment back and then do one almighty you-killed-Owen shoot in Piper's Pit? I'm confident he's senile enough to not realise that Smackdown isn't live.
Guest D'Lo White Posted April 2, 2003 Report Posted April 2, 2003 They should bring back the Barber Shop. I always liked these little talk show segments. I think they should give a new one to a good speaker. Maybe Chris Nowitski with "The Library".
Guest subliminal_animal Posted April 2, 2003 Report Posted April 2, 2003 Doesn't anyone in Stamford, CT learn from the mistakes of the past?!? Well, at least they know better then to give him a microphone on a live TV show. Here, they can edit down whatever rant he goes on. He's only on Smackdown because Hogan is on Smackdown. I think they should give a new one to a good speaker. Maybe Chris Nowitski with "The Library". I think Nowinski is highly overrated as a speaker, but it would be fun to see. I would rather have it on Heat most weeks, and maybe Raw when it has some fairly significant storyline developments. And with a better name.
Guest dreamer420 Posted April 3, 2003 Report Posted April 3, 2003 I don't think Piper and Hogan are exactly close. Piper didn't have a lot of nice things to say about him in his book.
