I find it a little odd that amongst all this hatred of peace rallying protestors (always RighTly so), I just thought I'd like to point out that I've actually seen more flyers for *Pro*-War rallies. It's a little odd to say the least. They're not all war though, some of them say Pro-"America". It's pretty funny actually, all things considered, since the majority of the sheet has ass-kissing all over it and is annoying to say the least. I would say that's essentially a Pro-War Rally anyway though, if only due to people's labelling of Anti-Usa being Anti-War. Eh, whatever, I just found it interesting and thought I'd pass it your way. If I had a scanner, I'd put it up, but I don't so I can't. Needless to say, it's the worst one yet, ass-kissing and all.

I've gotten more than a few of these on my door, thus pissing me off just as much as those stupid Anti-War flyers. These rallies aren't going to do shit, why do people bother? I think it just gives them some meaning or something, like honestly, it's not like George Dubya is going to see some short, skinny, angst-filled pimple-ridden teenager labelling him an idiot and be like "Hmmm, maybe I AM an idiot. I guess I should stop that war than eh dawg?" Whatever, that's just me venting about how anyone who bothers to go outside and voice their opinion with a witty sign like....I don't know, I don't feel like looking it up, but just fill in the blank or something. I also notice that most protestors I know of personally are pretty much pseudo-intellectuals, thinking they're cool they're "Makin' a difference".

I'm not bitter.

We've had quite a few pro-USA rallies up here as well.

Both rallies are Pro-American, however there are idiots in both groops that bring attention AWAY from the MAIN ISSUE at hand. I wish EVERYONE at an anti-war rally would stick to just the WAR ISSUE, but that just isn't gonna happen unfortunately.

My parents where at Support Our Troops Rally two Saturdays's ago. The papers reported 17,000 people attended.

For alot of the protesters it's more of an anti-Bush, anti-republican rally. The war has little to do with it.

When the war started CNN ran a story on the anti-war protests. They interviewed two people. Both came across more as anti-Bush rather than anti-war. One said that Bush was elected illegally and shouldn't even be President, the other said that because of 9/11 the Bush regime has killed more people than Saddam's regime. It's amusing how worldwide it is too - several of the signs shown around the world denounce Bush rather than the war.

As I said on another thread, way to pick out an example of the vast minority of protesters!

I laugh everytime I see the clips of people tossing the french wine.

"WE don't need your two hundred year old wine!"

Around here, a pro-war rally invaded the regular anti-war rally and outnumbered them 3:1. However, both sides got along fine with no violence and the only complaint being someone using their huge sign to block another person's.

This was before the war, of course. I think protesting and demonstrating once the bullets start firing is stupid.
