Mrnoitaull 0 Report post Posted April 3, 2003 With all these legendary wrestlers being resigned and debuting in such a short period of time, It seems as though Vince is at a desperate attempt to get his ratings/fans back. But its seems that due to terrible writing staff, They have the tendency to ruin stroylines and pushes in the process soon after. Do you think That Vince and /or the company will run out of options to regain his destination soon?!

Guest DR PHIL Report post Posted April 3, 2003 They've been on a downward spiral for ages now! Yes vince is desperate and as of now they're well on track to complete self-destruction, but they've obviously got the money to last a while longer. They've just gotta got their fucking act together! Then again, people use to say that wcw would never go out of business and they had freakin ted turner! So yeah...they're fucked!
Guest CanadianChris Report post Posted April 3, 2003 LOL @ thinking the WWE is going out of business. I'm sure the people who said that about WCW around 1999-2000 were laughed at too.
Guest DR PHIL Report post Posted April 3, 2003 My sig says it all:You can't change what you don't acknowledge! Take heed vince... or your fucked!
Guest FeArHaVoC Report post Posted April 3, 2003 Things are far from perfect, but WWE is no where near going out of business. Get Real.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted April 3, 2003 Then again, people use to say that wcw would never go out of business and they had freakin ted turner! The difference is, when WCW went down, they were owned by a parent company (AOL/Time Warner) which decided WCW wasn't a profitable venture any more. Ted Turner wasn't in the picture. WWE has no parent company to decide their fate. Stockholders, yeah, but the stockholders can't decide to shut down the WWE.
Guest DR PHIL Report post Posted April 3, 2003 Get Real. Hey, that's my line! Thanks for the info, spiff. I didn't know about that. It really doesn't matter though, the wwe are losing money constantly, anything can happen in that type of situation.
Guest Downhome Report post Posted April 3, 2003 WCW was an ENTIRE differt beast. WCW was much more likely to go out of business, than WWE is not.
Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted April 3, 2003 WWE is still making money....WCW wasn't. HUGE difference.
cawthon777 0 Report post Posted April 3, 2003 Last I checked, the WWE wasn't in the red by $95 bazillion last year. I think they're okay.
Guest nikowwf Report post Posted April 3, 2003 WWE is profitable still. So they still need to go in the red, then really in the red, then so far in the red they need to use their cash reserves (in the hundreds of millions of dollars). Then use them all up. Then not be able to get any additional funding, loans, etc. Then they'd go out of business. So these WWE IS GOING OUT OF BUSINESS THREADS which pop up about once a week may be a tad premature. niko
Guest Pigsy Report post Posted April 3, 2003 There is a key difference between WWE and WCW. Ted Turner got most of his money from other businesses, wrestling was not essential to him. No matter how many football leagues and body building federations Vince wants to start, the WWE is how the McMahon's make their living. They need the WWE to keep going, or they, personally, are screwed. Turner may have been disappointed when WCW was sold, but he wasn't out of a job. Even if business gets really bad, I think the McMahon's will somehow keep the company going, simply because they have to.
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2003 That's the problem. They have so much money that they won't die off no matter how bad it gets. So we'll have to see them get worse and worse with no end unless Vince turns things around.

I was just stating the way it will be if Vince doesn't turn it around.
