Guest Lethargic Report post Posted April 3, 2003 Did anybody send their Back to the Future discs back for replacement? If so, have you gotten them back yet? In February I got a letter saying that I'd get mine in March. Well, it's April now....
Guest RedJed Report post Posted April 3, 2003 I didnt bother just for that reason, I didn't want to wait forever for them.
The Dames 0 Report post Posted April 3, 2003 When I watched them on DVD, I was so caught up in the movie that I didn't notice them and neither did most people so I didn't bother. Dames
Guest Lethargic Report post Posted April 3, 2003 I noticed, that's why I bothered. When some of the main jokes were cut out of the scene, kinda made it pointless to watch.
The Dames 0 Report post Posted April 3, 2003 What did you notice? I only noticed it once, in BTTF 2 when Doc pulled on Marty's jacket in the alleyway. Dames

Dames Yeah I didn't notice it at all in fact. I didn't even know there was an issue with the discs until I read about it on the net.
Guest MDH257 Report post Posted April 3, 2003 I held off on buying the disc because of this. The corrected disc has "v2" next to the upc code, but that hasn't been on any of the ones I've seen in stores the last couple of weeks.
Guest Eagan469 Report post Posted April 3, 2003 I still have the 3-disc set sitting unopened next to my DVD player. I'm still contemplating what to do with it - I want to watch the movies, but I don't want to go through the hassle of sending the discs in. I'm figuring I can just go to the store when the new "v2" sets come out and exchange it.

Guest Crucifixio Jones Report post Posted April 4, 2003 The problem is I haven't seen the new v2 discs anywhere. Most stores have their place stocked to the gills with the old version and they won't re-order until those are gone. Anyone know of a way to order the v2 version directly? Guest Lethargic Report post Posted April 4, 2003 Well, if nobody has gotten any replacements and no stores have gotten new versions, I guess they're not out yet.
Guest Crucifixio Jones Report post Posted April 4, 2003 My guess is that Universal are a bunch of lying, scamming, milk and bilk the consumer motherfuckers who will NEVER get my money for this set if they don't correct their fuck up and quick.
Guest MrRant Report post Posted April 4, 2003 I would e-mail Amazon and ask them personally.
Guest Lethargic Report post Posted April 4, 2003 Apparently the discs are in the mail right now. The date is sketchy, they were either shipped on the 27th or the 30th, but either way they're on the way to everybody now. As far as the new store copies, no word on that yet. Since they also have to make all new packaging and everything, it'll probably take a little longer. Other things on the discs have been fixed besides the framing. The audio on part 2 had some problems so it was redone and the trailers were apparently fullscreen on the original discs, they'll be widescreen on the new ones. Guest El Satanico Report post Posted April 4, 2003 What exactly do you have to do to exchange the discs? Was there a certian date you had to send them in by?
