Bored 0 Report post Posted April 3, 2003 As a 49er fan what is up with only getting ONE Monday Night game? They made the playoffs last year and that usually guarentees you two. Maybe ABC was upset by the way the 49ers laid an egg in the 4th quarter on the final game last year but hey its not their fault that the game ended meaning nothing because the Rams struggled last year. Guest The Voices In Your Head Report post Posted April 3, 2003 The Packers have a very intriguing schedule for this season. They open with Minnesota [which is a game that scares the hell out of me, since Minnesota beat us once, and nearly beat us again last year]. They have 5 guaranteed national TV games [Monday nighters against Chicago to re-open Soldier Field, Philadelphia, & Oakland, followed with a Sunday night game at Minnesota, and Thanksgiving Day at Detroit] and another three Doubleheader games [Denver, San Diego, & Tampa Bay. Is there some rule that they now have to play Tampa Bay in late games every year? Seriously, the last time they played an early game in Tampa was in 1997.] The most interesting game to me looks like the late game vs. Denver on December 28 at Lambeau. That should be fun. As for the rest of the schedule, I think Tampa Bay got screwed by having to play on the road to start the season. I think it's an unwritten rule that the Super Bowl champion usually never has to open on the road. Also, I'm really surprised that the MNF people restrained themselves and only have the Falcons on the schedule once. But the Rams twice? [they play Oct. 13 vs. Atlanta, & Dec.8 at Cleveland] I'll agree with Bored, I think San Francisco should have had one more Monday night game than just Pittsburgh. Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted April 4, 2003 Redskins are going to be a REALLY REALLY expensive 7-9 team again at best. Good for them! Baltimore at Pittsburgh, 1 p.m Cleveland at Baltimore, 1 p.m. Baltimore at San Diego, 4:15 p.m Kansas City at Baltimore, 1 p.m. OFF Baltimore at Arizona, 4:15 p.m Baltimore at Cincinnati, 1 p.m. Denver at Baltimore, 1 p.m. Jacksonville at Baltimore, 1 p.m. Baltimore at St. Louis, 8:30 p.m. (ESPN) Baltimore at Miami, 1 p.m. Seattle at Baltimore, 1 p.m. San Francisco at Baltimore, 1 p.m. Cincinnati at Baltimore, 1 p.m. Baltimore at Oakland, 4:05 p.m. Baltimore at Cleveland, 1 p.m. Pittsburgh at Baltimore, 8:30 p.m. (ESPN) That last Ravens Steelers game will be brutal if there is a close race between the two in the AFC North down to the wire. The Ravens toughest games are vs. San Diego, Kansas City, Miami and Oakland. I could possibly see them winning 10 games this year..

Players signed: TE Jed Weaver (Dolphins) DT Travis Kirschke (Lions) uh...yeah And this has what to do with the NFL schedule and what to do with the Bills "owning" the 49ers? Fine the Bills OWN the 49ers in the offseason so far! Woo hoo something to be proud of. Also key point there you made "its April" as in like there is more three months of the offseason left to go. Pittsburgh has pretty passionate fans, and mad amounts of you all tune in for games. Same with KC, Chicago, and Dallas ... their fans watch so to appease the networks they get games. San Fran doesn't draw nationally as well as other teams, so are kind of 'bubble' teams that get a ton of games when they're hot but not many when they're not. Guest converge241 Report post Posted April 4, 2003 hmm see i dont see chicago and KC on that same level but i mean thats all negligible so im not going to argue it ..i mean i know those teams have passionate hometown fans but not that same non-hometown appeal the cowboys have .. im always surprised by the steeler fans like me that are not homers..theres a lot of them in massachusetts and Dallas will probably always get a game every year no matter what cause i "know" they have that perception..i just dont agree with it
