Guest notJames Report post Posted April 4, 2003 What really gets me is that old-timers like 'Taker have no clue what their jockeying for the top of the card does to the potential of those lower than them. Guys like Rico, Hurricane, Noble, Tajiri… guys who are genuinely entertaining to everyone, bust their asses way more than the uppercarders who seem to get everything handed to them. These lower card guys are in their prime, and are so underutilized that if/when they get their time in the spotlight, more often than not, they're at less than the 100% ability that got them there. The upper midcarders have it worse: they're in a constant holding pattern, sneaking in and out of the top spot to make the "main eventers" look like a million bucks, but never seem to bust through entirely. Meanwhile, they nurse more injuries, put up with more politicking and bad booking, and see the best years of their lives squandered for every Nathan Jones that comes along. Don't even get me started on "special attractions" like Sable, Torrie, Piper, and Goldberg, who eat up revenue and precious airtime for nothing more than filler. And yes, Goldberg is nothing but filler to me. No one should have to try to be entertained. The onus is on the entertainer. Period.

Guest Memoirs of an Invisible Chevy Report post Posted April 5, 2003 Awwww Diss Taker all you want. But this is his JOB, he gets paid to do it...you all watch it for free in your spare time. You guys are all a joke to the WWE and the Undertaker, deal with it. No amount of bitching and moaning will change that. He is above you in the wrestling food chain...so continue to diss him - he'll collect his pay cheque and be part of something you all dream you can be. Guest Memoirs of an Invisible Chevy Report post Posted April 5, 2003 Which is why their ratings drop. Because they treat their fans like a joke and run their own little agendas. No. They treat internet fans as jokes. We are only a minority of their fans. And besides, they can treat you all like shit, and you'll all come crawling back. Sad but true. The Undertaker has a paychque because of casual fans. He gives credit to many of the fans, even some of the internet fans, just nto the ones who claim to have the answer for everything. Or the ones who put everything down. The Undertaker may not be that great in the ring, or co-operative backstage, but he is kinda right when eveluating the internet's worth of the business. Guest Kid Kablam Report post Posted April 5, 2003 Maybe we should try a little harder to enjoy ourselves and stop criticizing everything. I shouldn't have to TRY to enjoy a TV show. Uuuum....by saying TRY to enjoy the show more......i mean a little less bitching and complaining, and a little more relaxing. Like for instance Triple H vs. Hurricane ...........It was a good match where Hurrican actually dominated most of the match and got a ton of offense and even had a phantom pin, with Triple H winning at the end....and whats the response? "fuck Triple H" "fuck you HHH" "burn in hell hhh" "triple h cant stop holding people down"...........now, why the fuck should the Hurrican beat HHH, the guy is the top heel on Raw and the World Champion, yet even after putting on a good match and making the other guy look good all there was was complaining. Enough is enough once in a while. The match was less than 5 mins. The rock wrestle Hurricane in the Main Event, and got a pin. Slight difference.

Should Triple H have stolen the Main Event slot from the Rock and Goldberg to put over Helms? People just nit pick for the sake of nit-picking...especially when it comes to Trips. The guy is an ass, but really, whining about this stuff is so trivial. He kept Hurricane's momentum going to having competitive matches with the big stars. He could have blown him off completely, or buried him in 30 seconds. He took all of Helm's offense too.

Guest Sakura Report post Posted April 5, 2003 And besides, they can treat you all like shit, and you'll all come crawling back. Sad but true. I haven't given WWE any money for over a year now. Where are these casual fans anyway? They seemed to have all bailed. Maybe they shouldn't constantly ridicule what's left of their fanbase? Of course there are net fans that are obnoxious and think they know everything. Nobody denies that. But it's fucking stupid to run a business where you CONSTANTLY make fun of those people. You should never do that to fans, even if they're wrong. And most of the internet fans are not like that anyway. Their business strategy makes no sense. They constantly try to ridicule and alienate a large portion of their fanbase. They always argue with fans and try to tell them that they should like the product. It's so insane. I like can't believe it. Everytime they do something the fanbase hates like the racism or the Katie Vick shit they write all these articles about how we can't apperciate it or how we are foolish for being offended. STFU WWE.com, I don't want you telling me what I should and shouldn't enjoy.
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Report post Posted April 5, 2003 Haven't you ever heard the phrase "the customer is always right"? I know the customer is a dickhead most of the time but still.......the WWE really needs to adopt that attitude. Oh and Loosecannon........I bet most people on here could book better than the WWE. And about the egos and shit.....if they gave me full control of the book and someone started whining about doing a job I'd just simply say "Fuck you. You either do it or I don't book you. I got 100's of guys in the indies just waiting to take your place." It's that simple. Vince needs to put his fucking foot down. The guy owns the god damn company. If my boss asked me to clean something at work and I started bitching and moaning and telling her no she'd find someone else to do it. That's what Vince needs to do. The man claims to have balls the size of grapefruits....well he needs to start acting like it.

Guest Memoirs of an Invisible Chevy Report post Posted April 5, 2003 Anybody care what this jackoff has to say? Didn't think so. Get a new act dude....your's is old. How is it old? Because I look at things rationally? I don't take this too seriously. The truth is, they DO NOT care about the internet fans. They DO NOT like us. You all complain how they dick you around, but you keep on watching. It makes no sense. If I burned my hand after lighting my cigarette in the wind 5 times, I'd find a new way of doing it. You guys are simply setting yourselves up for obvious heartache and unhappiness by watching the show - so why continue doing it? This isn't me having an act pal, its telling it how it is. Don't like it? Go watch Puro and hang with those guys. Atleast they have the sack to stop watching it when they clearly don't agree with the product.
Guest Brian Report post Posted April 5, 2003 Actually, if WrestleMania hadn't come to my hometown at this point I probably wouldn't be watching. The only reason I watched four weeks prior was to catch up on things, and they've done nothing to hold me so I'll continue my sporadic watching. If I wasn't getting pay per views free, it wouldn't be worth it. I need some kind of straight wrestling mix and I knew what Mania was offering. But alot of the storylines do insult my intelligence, and it's why I'm not watching again at this point.
Guest Memoirs of an Invisible Chevy Report post Posted April 5, 2003 But alot of the storylines do insult my intelligence, and it's why I'm not watching again at this point. And that puts you a head of everyone else who complains. I respect that decision a 110% more than one who simply goes through the whining and complaining routine each week. Its a breath of fresh air. Everyone else should take heed.
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted April 5, 2003 Rad, WWE doesn't give a fuck about what the casual fans either, so your argument falls flat. They feed the guys who get over with all of the fans to guys like HHH, and keep recycling the same old storylines out of laziness. And a great deal of us simply don't watch Raw. I check out the Raw thread every week but almost never watch the show. I hope the show turns around, but I'm not going to keep watching in the distant hope it gets better. SD has its problems too. I do NOT LIKE what I saw on SD with Hogan or Sable, so I put the mute button on or changed the channel, but I'd prefer not to have to. If I don't like the direction something is heated, I am going to complain. However, SD isn't as bad. Raw is just a sinking ship, and nothing short of a complete overhaul will save it. WWE pushes what they want, and what they think will bring back fans that stopped watching because they pushed what they wanted.
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Report post Posted April 5, 2003 I don't watch.....that's the thing. I tape the god damn show and fast forward through the shit and watch what I want. And there have been times when I've FF'd through the entire 2 hour show.

LooseCannon25 0 Report post Posted April 7, 2003 Anybody care what this jackoff has to say? Didn't think so. Get a new act dude....your's is old. So, if you owned a company...and you are in it to MAKE money. you're seeing if you had HHH, Undertaker, Austin, Goldberg, Lesnar, Angle whining about jobbing, you would tell them "fuck you, or i wont book you..there are 100's of guys in the indies waiting to take your place".........Yeah, ok, like there's anyone in the indies with the name value that your top guys have. What are you gonna do? Replace The Rock or Triple H with Christopher Daniels or Low Ki? You know what the fans reactions would be when those guys show up and are main eventing? "who the fuck are these guys?" So if you're running a company that bullshit you think you would do wouldn't fly. Unless you want your company to instantly go under. Rendclaw 0 Report post Posted April 7, 2003 Let us understand something... Ever since WCW got bought out by Vince, how could ANYONE have though that things would turn out any other way than they have? Never mind that the dealings behind the acquisition were shady to say the least, and with HHH we are seeing the anti-Hogan now (a guy that not many can stand but he wins all the time, due to the power of having his future wife as head writer), but with the blown Invasion Angle and then the abortion that was the return of the NWO, I am not really surprised that things are going right down the crapper. As much as he might think otherwise, Vince needs stiff competition. Ever since he became the Bill Gates of sports entertainment (I am having increasing difficulty calling what they do actual wrestling)., his product has been on a steady decline, which has only gotten worse with the brand extension. The problem is that Vince needs to start over again. From zero. He and the writers and bookers need to just stop re-treading what any of us who have watched wrestling for five or ten years or more, and dedicate to putting out quality. I have always though that Vince's biggest mistake was thinking that "any publicity is good publicity". I have to admit that the Katie Vick storyline was the first time in the 25 years that I was ashamed to be a wrestling fan, and I am sure that more than a few people felt the same way. Now, they are scrambling to cover for the fact that HHH simply refuses to perpetuate the cycle of bringing up those who are underneath him as champion. We saw that an WM 19, where the best thing for the company would have been a change at the championship level. I think we are agreed that Hunter has held onto the belt for far too long, and any serious challengers for the title have either been jobbed out or been buried in storylines to kill the contender's heat, or both. But being someone in my now mid-30s, I also know that while he pulls in money for the company, Vince will not feel any motivation to make any major changes at all... there is no other fed even close to large enough to contend for any significant piece of the pie..... TNA is the closest, but by Dames' reviews and bps21's views, they are too damned inconsistent and they are experiencing growing pains, and from what matches and things I have seen, read or heard, I am not inclined to disagree. ROH has the right idea, but they will not get anywhere close to WWE in size, as through the actions of Vince & Co. to stay on top and make it extremely difficult (if not impossible) for another fed to even ascend more than a few rungs on the ladder. Let's face it folks, in its own way, Vince McMahon is not only dominating profession wrestling, he is slowly killing it, too.
