Brock Lesnar details his post-WrestleMania hospital visit

PWTorch.com reader Don Rasmussen also heard Brock Lesnar's appearance on KFAN AM 1130 this morning and filed the following report, which features new details on Lesnar's post-WrestleMania condition.

The only thing I could add (to what's already been reported) is that Brock said Kurt Angle has one arm that is only operating at about 55 percent due to nerve damage from his neck injury.

Brock also said he was very reluctant to get on a stretcher, into an ambulance, and go to the hospital. He also mentioned that when they finally got him backstage after the match, he began dry heaving. He also said he refused help out of the ambulance (after they finally convinced him it would be the quickest way to get him to the hospital) and when he went to stand up by himself he fell flat on his face.

Brock said he started to realize what was really going on around him when he was at the hospital. He also mentioned that there were a lot of people in the emergency room, and he wanted only one person in the room with him. Gerald Briscoe asked him who he wanted in the room with him, and Brock pointed to a beautiful blond nurse! Brock said at that point Briscoe realized that Brock was coming to his senses and was going to be okay. Brock also said that Seattle has the cutest nurses anywhere!

Nerve damage? WTF? It seems like it was only a temporary thing, since they didn't make a big deal out of it...but Brock must have been scared out of his fucking mind. I never even knew nerve damage could be temporary; I thought it was always permanent.

And 55%, huh? What, is Brock stealing Orton's gimmick??

I'm glad that he's alright. And kudos to Angle for going out there at all.

More kudos for the match they put on.

Major kudos to Lesnar for actually getting up after it to hit the F-5. And not sure how anyone can say they're happy Brock landed on his head. That is sick.

I'm not a fan of Brock, but I hope he's OK. An SSP probably takes A HELL of a lot of practice to pull off, anyway. Besides, it still looked better than Kidman's.

Upon brief analysis of both their careers so far, I believe that Lesnar and Angle are both in fact indestructible. One only has to see Angle's heroics after his concussion at Summerslam 2000, Lesnar's picture-perfect F-5 on the Big Show when he had broken ribs, Angle's sheer greatness in performing in a Mania main event when his life was at risk and both Brock and Angle somehow finishing said match despite Brock being virtually unaware of where he was. Come to think of it, that last F-5 was a huge risk for Angle as well. A guy with a broken neck being F-5ed by a concussed guy? Unbelievable stuff, really.

Yeah...That seems to be lost on people...That Last F5 was pretty dangerous...Most others would had to done a Roll up...

Thank God, Angle was intelligent and came up with that on the fly...

Correct me if I'm wrong...But do they plan Alternatives in case a big bump or the planned finish is botched? It just seems like they would...

While we are giving kudos.....

Major kudos to Angle for having the sense to go for a pin on Brock after the botch.....that allowed Brock to have more time to regain himself after the kickout....

I also didn't think anyone was stupid enough to say they were extremely glad A-Train landed on his head after that dolt performed a botched F-5 on him and wished he had been injured more.

Kudos to Angle for going into a match with Brock while injured. I know I wouldn't even go in the ring with that piece of crap healthy.

I read somewhere, I can't quite recall where but I think WWE.com, that Kurt wasn't very happy with that match. If I were to rick my life and I came out without an increased neck injury, and I managed to save the end after an accident I'd be pretty fucking happy, but maybe its just me.

lesnar's shooting star didn't look nearly as good as kidmans.

No Way.

Brock Lesnar's Shooting Star Press is Much better then Kidman's version.

Kidman, A 6' 210 Pounder usually gets about 8 Feet into the air at the most at a Distance of About 8 feet as well.

Brock Lesnar, A 6'5 295 Beast gets Around 15 feet into the air and clears 3/4 of the ring.

Not Only is Brock's SSP better...It's also more Visually stunning THEN Kidman's version.

Kidman's is cool and really graceful looking but he has no control. Brocks gets distance and impact which makes it look cool.

Here is something some one brought up to me the other day...If Brock could tell he was gonna miss...Mid-Air...Why didn't he land Chest first and just have it be Frog Splash or Sawton Splash? And thus save the finish...

I tried to think of how it couldn't happen...Is it possible he could had done that during Mid-Air?

Well personally, I reckoned Angle should have played safe and tried to move forward a bit when I first saw it. But if he did, Brock might'a ended up landing neckfirst on Angle, and probably broke his neck there and then as landing on Angle's body would have happened quicker than hitting the mat. It's just one of those things that happens. Can't blame Brock, can't blame Angle...you just gotta give it up to them for saving the match at the end.

As for improvised endings, they probably do. When they don't, you can tell as everyone ends up getting lost, not knowing what to do. Most people would agree and do the same spot again, which can end up looking really bad as the crowd then know they fucked up for sure. But Angle was obviously either real smart about what to do, or they had a plan. Knowing WWE though, the plan was probably 'If the SSP misses for some reason, Angle take control.'
