John Kerry vs GOP Congressmen

They lost in '02 because they had NO platform. The ONLY thing that they had was that they don't like Bush.

And that really hasn't changed too much.

Thank you. Finally some back up.

If you'll go back to the beginning of this thread, I disproved that myth that they have no platform.

I think it is pretty silly to say the democrats have no platform. They had one at the mid-term elections, however a lot of it was hidden in fear of being seen as "un-american" as soon as the mud started slinging. If the Dems hide behind their own insecure fear again in 2004, they are TOAST again. If they actually express their views and get them out there, than it will be a close race again. I have a feeling voter turnout may be spiked in 2004.

...which is why we need Dean to run, because he actually has a solid platform that he is 100% behind.

I find it highly amusing that Democrats can be lauded for being 100% behind THEIR OWN PLATFORM.

You're the one questioning it, we're the ones proving you wrong. We'll be here all week, too.

I am listening to talk radio and they just said that a poll states 45% of CA would vote for Bush over an un-named Democrat if the election was today, and also that Lieberman with 22% is the leading favorite among Dems. OH GAWD NOOOOOOO. If Joseph Lieberman wins the Democrat nomination, we all better just deal with 4 more years of Bush. Also I hope it turns enough Left-minded democrat voters to sway support for the Green party so they can participate in the 2008 debates.

The Green party needs to focus on local and congressional elections before they even consider running another presidential candidate.

Yah I know they need to smart small, but it never hurts to get a face and a voice out there.

Hell, here in CA, Gray Davis was so afraid of the GP candidate that he threatened to leave the building if the guy was even allowed in as a ticket holder with a few questions to ask.

OK, here goes:

WHAT was their platform?

I didn't hear candidates express what they wanted to do --- just that they didn't want Republicans in power.

Oh, I'd KILL for the Greens to be able to pull a decent number of votes.

Might never have a Dem in power again if that happens.

And God knows the Greens are unelectable on a national level.
