I kinda (but not really) know Jeff Marek of Live Audio Wrestling on a Regular Caller to Host basis and could probably shoot him an e-mail about this. I doubt he'd post it on their site or anything because the Law is sponsered by Viewers Choice PPV and they're sellouts but if you guys think it'll help......

Having said that, live events are where it's at. The WWE has reiterated time and time again that they hate the internet and smarks so that won't matter. Live events, however, do. I was at WrestleMania 18 and was one of the people screaming Hogans name in his match with The Rock. Vince actually listened and jobbed the title to Hogan from HHH the next month at Backlash. Scott Steiner got booed the second he stepped in the ring and where is he now? Exactly. Live product carries a "undeniable" type of heat with it and if the fans boo a wrestler enough (Steiner), the WWE may not nescessarily fire him but I don't really see main eventing for the world title in Steiners future.

If anything, a campaign should be started to get every smark possible out to house shows and tv tapings. I know myself, bob barron, RavishingRickRudo and Treble Charged all live in the Toronto area and probably more that I'm not aware of. I'm sure Dames has his New York crew and if I'm not mistaken a few people that live in the Carolinas know each other too. Honestly, (at house shows at least) a few people is all it takes to get a "___ sucks!" chant going and it can build from the ground up.

don't boycott watching raw b/c in the grand scheme of things,

we're only about 5-10% of the viewing audience.

if live crowds matter that much, then the only way to get

the undertaker and hhh off the tv is by having the entire

arena chant "BORING".

that's the only way vince will hear it.

I just don't like feeling absolutely and completely powerless as a fan. To at least try, to at least DO SOMETHING to get change is a helluva lot better than doing nothing at all.

its the ONLY way any change even has the chance of happening

Exactly. If you say "Oh, it will never work, they won't change, lets not bother" then it's guaranteed not to work and no change is possible.

I don't see why you don't start the boycott tonight. As said before, it doesn't say much about you and your cause if you just pick and choose when to boycott. You should start ASAP to set an example for others to follow.

Its not really a huge crowd right now.

May5 gives a month to spread the word and use other ideas like mailings, articles, chats, and NWA support etc.

Snuff, don't even bother. After 17 pages if DH doesn't know what this is about, he will never know.

I've already stopped watching Smackdown.

I know what it's about, it's about making a stand and getting something done. So why DON'T you go ahead and just boycott WWE as a whole, not only to really make a point, but to set an example for others to follow?

You can't do it, can you?

Because misery loves company and watching the WWE is like slowing down to watch a car wreck.

Another analogy is its the same reason why liberals listen to conservative talk radio and watch Fox News and why conservatives will listen to liberal talk radio (well or things they perceive to be liberal) and CNN. Sometimes you just want something to angry about.

I have been watching WWE programming very irregularly for the past month or two. Not watching is easy. However, many people have stopped watching on this board and the example is not noticed. You just figure if no one watches, no one complains; That is your motive for pushing this. I'll tune in for the first 15 minutes to see how the tone/direction is, then I'll turn it off.

don't think people with nelson boxes are us.

Hell Us Smarks make up such a small population of Wrestling fans as it is, we drop out all of us we would probably not fill 1% of the total viewers who still would watch.

No, if you are proclaiming a boycott, then DO IT. Just boycott the whole lot of WWE programing and everything else WWE. Don't set a date, just do it, and hope that others follow you. Still do the emailing and calling, still do all of that, but if you are going to boycott, then just do it.

So do it, don't even tune in at the begining, don't even talk about it. Besides, if you tune in for the first few minutes and you decide THERE that the show isn't worth watching, then you might as well not watch ANY of it. A petty ten minutes is not any way to judge an entire show, and if you want to watch it or not.

So I say to all of you, go ahead and boycott WWE totally. You guys start it, try to recruit others, and try to get something big started. If you continue to watch WWE, it's pointless, and makes what you want to happen invalid. Set an example, set an example for others to follow.

I know few of you will be able to do it totally, and you know why? It's simple. Most of you are true wrestling fans, who will continue to watch no matter what.

I don't think hardly any of you can just boycott WWE all together, but I say again, set an example if you feel so strongly about it. That is all.

And this has nothing to do with the fact that you don't like it when people bitch and moan about the product? Riiight.

DH, what makes you think that people don't have the will power to stop watching the WWE? Even if they are true wrestling fans, it's very possible for them to stop watching the WWE or at least stop watching RAW

Im pretty sure its more than 1% of the audience...

But iits not just the iwc smark crowd here...marks have been exposed to workrate too and have shown that they appreciate it and it can draw!

Right.

I don't care if people complain as long as they don't do it by flaming, both me or anyone else. As long as they discuss it, it's cool. That isn't my point at all, I really could care less.

My point is that you should set an example. If you feel strongly enough about this, and truly hope to do anything, then you should set out to get a huge mass of people to boycott WWE as a whole. However, you can not do so unless you set an example yourself, or whoever else is in charge of getting this together. One should lead by example, if you can not do that, then you have no hope at success.

I do not doubt that some can do so, hell, many already do. I do not however think that there are many here that can do so, that already watch WWE RAW and other WWE programing every week. If you have the power to just stop watching this, the good for you, you have my respect. I'll say it again...

...to get this done, it will need to be a FULL boycott, and people must set an example sooner or later.

So you didn't write this...

I am actually getting sick and tired of the entire net world of Pro. Wrestling. It's bad fucking enough that the politics are going on in the REAL world, behind the stage where none of us REALLY know what's going on, but for it to spill over onto the entire internet, onto the message boards, and taking over the fans mind set, it's making me fucking suck.

?

You can't honestly tell me that you wouldn't be happier if the detractors of the WWE were gone from this board - You said it yourself, you're "sick of us".

Anywho, did I hear that JR is coming to Toronto?

JR, VP of Talent Relations and a Right-Hand man to Vince McMahon... coming to Toronto for an autograph signing.

How many people do we have living in the GTA that is part of the 'Revolution"? - cause I think we just may have a huge fucking break.

Any more info on this??! When, Where, How long?

Ok, saw the first 15 minutes of raw, just disgusting. They really shouldn't let women try to wrestle, it's embarrasing...esp. with King on commentary. What were they thinking? WCW = cruisers starting. WWE = hacks starting.

Don't misquote me trying to prove some weak ass point. I said I was sick of the situation, not any of you. I never said "sick of us". I could give a damn if you start threads here and actually discuss a subject which you are not happy with, and that sort of thing. What I AM sick of however is people who either start threads, or ruin other threads, with bullshit like "fuck Goldberg" and "fuck HHH". That doesn't add a damn thing to any actual discussion, other than making whoever says that look like they don't have the smarts to say anything other than that. If you dislike something, discuss it, don't act like a moron and just flame away and the such.

Yeah, I'm also tired of people always talking about backstage politics also, when it's really none of our business. We all really should just take the on air product for what it is, and discuss THAT aspect of it. Honestly, I can't remember when a discussion of that sort took place here really.

Complain all you want, but at least do it with a hit of intelingence and what not.

My point of saying the following...

...is not to hope you guys leave, it would be borring as hell without you around. I'm simply telling you how it is. If you want to boycott this, if you want it to WORK, then go all out, and set an example, if you are truly dedicated to it. It's the only way for it to work. Why don't you reply to THAT point, instead of trying to avoid it?

That right there, would be the PERFECT time to let your voices be heard. Let him know how you feel, let him know you are ALREADY starting a mass boycott, this is your shot.

When someone starts blatant blind lies like, "OMG~! goldberg will kill everyone, OMG, no one will remember him ever" and bullshit like that, they are not using their smarts in the first place.

I have never, I repeat never, went into a thread about someone I dislike and said something like "fuck whoever".

Downhome, do you know how many "boycotts" are going on right now? Many people have done it and it doesn't do anything because there are still people like you who think they will be watching the WWE forever. I know I thought that when someone I knew started a boycott in later 2000 and I was like "pfft. I'd never do that".

"I'm not watching and you shouldn't either" doesn't have the same impact as "Holy Crap, did that show fail on every level" and then explain why it failed and open some peoples eyes.
