For when I cry tears of joy when the Canucks win?

Overtime losses are a crock of shit. Vancouver had more wins then Colorado but lose the division because Col had more losses in overtime.

Bullshit

Hey, the Isles may lose but I don't think they will go down that easily. Nothing like watching my NHL Overtime video to get pumped and ready for the playoffs.

Ott over Isles in 7 (Yash and co. will give them a run for thier $)

Philly over Tor in 6

TB over Wash in 6

NJ over Bos in 5 (B's have no goaltending)

Dallas over Edm in 7( Should be a great series like all others have)

Col over Minn in 5

Van over Stl in 6

Ana over Det in 7 (Gotta have one surprise)

I want to see Edmonton bump the Stars out so bad. I'm all about a Senators-Oilers final in the Stanley Cup Championship Between Two Cities Most Americans Couldn't Locate If They Tried.

The Islanders have beaten Ottawa exactly twice in the last SEVEN YEARS. Where do you think they're going to get three wins in 10 days from?

Guest fairtoflair7

The series was 2-1-1 in favor of Ott this year plus the Isles won in Ott so if they can pull off a game in the Corel, I think the Isles have a chance. The Isles won't lose at the Ol'Barn. The whole atmosphere of the Coliseum changes...you'll see that shortley. Ask the Leafs.

Except there's no Darcy Tucker to incite the Isles or their fans. I see no reason why this will be close.

East:

Ottawa over NY Islanders in 4. (The Sens get lucky with an easy first round series.)

New Jersey over Boston in 6. (I'm realistic enough to recognize that the B's goaltending will get outplayed by Brodeur.)

Tampa Bay over Washington in 7. (Bhulin Wall outplays Olie the Goalie.)

Toronto over Philadelphia in 6. (Matchup of 2 teams that made major trades at the deadline. Philly hits the golf course early yet again.)

West:

Dallas over Edmonton in 5 (Dallas is just too much for the Oilers.)

Detroit over Anaheim in 4 (See above, replace "Dallas" with "Detroit" and "Oilers with "Ducks".)

Colorado over Minnesota in 6 (Roy gets shelled in one game and loses in OT in another but otherwise the Avs are just too strong.)

Vancouver over St. Louis in 7 (Best 1st round series of them all.)

Cup: Detroit over NJ in 7.

The Leafs won the series and injured your top defencemen and Michael Peca. I don't think they're too upset over losing at Nassau last year.

I'm just saying that getting a W in the Coliseum during the playoffs is a very difficult thing to do for the visiting team. The Leafs went 0-3 there last year.

Ugh, I can't believe how the Canucks choked down the stretch. Of course, it wouldn't have mattered if the retarded overtime loss point wasn't around.

Anyways, my picks:

West

(1) Dallas vs (8) Edmonton - Edmonton in 7

(2) Detroit vs (7) Anaheim - Detroit in 5

(3) Colorado vs (6) Minnesota - Colorado in 5

(4) Vancouver vs (5) St Louis - Vancouver in 6

East

(1) Ottawa vs (8) NY Islanders - Ottawa in 6

(2) New Jersey vs (7) Boston - Jersey in 7

(3) Tampa Bay vs (6) Washington - Tampa in 5

(the caps looked pathetic against the Sens and Nucks...they can't handle a decent team)

(4) Philidelphia vs (5) Toronto - Flyers in 7

West

(1) Dallas vs (8) Edmonton - Dallas in 5(GUERIN~!)

(2) Detroit vs (7) Anaheim - Detroit in 4(Team HOF cant lose to Team Disney)

(3) Colorado vs (6) Minnesota - Colorado in 7(I have a feeling the Wild can actually make the Av's work for this series.)

(4) Vancouver vs (5) St Louis - St. Louis in 6(There has to be one upset in the first round here...)

East

(1) Ottawa vs (8) NY Islanders - Ottowa(No team that scrapes into the playoffs should beat a #1 seed...*has flashback of last season*...DOH!)

(2) New Jersey vs (7) Boston - Bruins in 6(I know, I know, stupid homer bias. Yes they have no #1 Goalie but that offense is potent and NJ has no offense...anything can happen.)

(3) Tampa Bay vs (6) Washington - Washington in 5(Upset special east side!)

(4) Philidelphia vs (5) Toronto - Philly in 4(Toronto sucks)

You're picking Boston over New Jersey? Are you insane?

Good defence beats good offence anyday of the week. The Bruins have absolutely no goaltending and no defence which is a bad combination in the playoffs. Broduer is going to stone Thorton and Murray and the Bruins will once again be going home early.

Philly in 4 over TO?? Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight

Why do you guys think Bahston has a shot over Jersey? It just doesnt add up

Jesus fucking Christ. Bob, take your pills or something.

It's called a gut feeling. Sometimes it's wrong. I wanted Boston to beat the Habs last year, but my gut feeling was that they would lose. This year, I just have a feeling that Jersey may take them too lightly, and end up making key mistakes. Do they have better goaltending? Yes. Did I pick Boston to go undefeated to the Stanley Cup? No.

Goaltending ultimately decides the playoffs, but a team can get lucky and put together 4 wins by just out shooting their opponents. Brodeur is a good goalie, but Hackett can be great on some nights. Who knows, maybe Hackett stands on his head in close games and Boston catches Marty having two off nights. Bingo. Series won. Sorry I had a difference of opinion.

I think Jersey has learned their lesson about taking teams too lightly since it's bit them in the ass before.

Sorry if my post came off a bit heated- It just caught me by suprise that someone would pick Boston. :)

Even though i picked jersey in 5, i think that boston has a shitload of offensive talent (thornton, murray) to name a few.
