Guest starvenger Report post Posted April 17, 2003 Friends don't let friends go to U of T. Was high school really tough for you starvenger? I'm just gonna stay up till 2 am studying and overload on Pepsi in the morning Nah, it wasn't tough enough so I decided to take engineering (MECH9T6). Only the kids who couldn't get into Toronto, Waterloo, Queens, UBC, etc. went to Rye-High for engineering 'technology'. This was before Ryerson actually went legit and became a university, btw. Guest bob_barron Report post Posted April 17, 2003 I'm majoring in journalism btw but I do know of our Rye High reputation. Apparently the journalism programme is supposed to be really good and hard to get into. I got into U of T-Mississauga but flipped a coin and Ryerson won. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK
Guest CanadianChris Report post Posted April 17, 2003 Well, I'm sure THAT wasn't worth staying up for.

Guest bob_barron Report post Posted April 17, 2003 It was a terrific game but man I wish we could've taken the 3-1 lead and protected home ice.
Guest starvenger Report post Posted April 17, 2003 Dammit. Fuck fuck and fuck. btw Bob just joshing ya. I remember you writing about going into the journalism program there and that is one of the things that Ryerson's been known for. I've seen U of T - Miss, and I'd say you made the right choice. Guest bob_barron Report post Posted April 17, 2003 I'm gonna try and see if I can get standing room tickets for Game 6- even though I know I have no chance. I'm glad I went to Ryerson- it's only a 20 min walk to ACC so I can go to Leafs games!
Guest treble charged Report post Posted April 17, 2003 Even though Belfour made a bunch of awesome saves, those 2 weak goals he let in in regulation were killer.
Guest MaxPower27 Report post Posted April 17, 2003 This Ducks/Wings game has been great so far. Sens win and Leafs lose? I'll take that!

Guest bob_barron Report post Posted April 17, 2003 Yes but at the worst we lose in 6 games to a team that had 107 points. You lost to a team that hadn't been in the playoffs in 4 years and was named after a movie starring Emilio Estevez
Guest MaxPower27 Report post Posted April 17, 2003 I'm still in shock that they not only beat Detroit, but SWEPT THEM!!!

You lost to a team that hadn't been in the playoffs in 4 years and was named after a movie starring Emilio Estevez Then again, we've won 3 Cups in the last 7 years. Toronto hasn't won one in how long?
Guest Powerplay Report post Posted April 17, 2003 This is unreal. Yeah, truly. Gotta get the lightning in a bottle back, and I suppose, while harsh now, may be the best to get some drive back into these guys next year. Oh well...
Guest MaxPower27 Report post Posted April 17, 2003 So, who's the team to beat in the West now? Dallas or Colorado? As great as Anaheim looked in the series, I don't see them as a serious threat coming out of the west.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted April 17, 2003 As someone who suffered with Cujo defecting and the Lidstrom goal of doom- this is sweet sweet revenge. I don't understand this at all- I mean- HOW?
Guest Powerplay Report post Posted April 17, 2003 As someone who suffered with Cujo defecting and the Lidstrom goal of doom- this is sweet sweet revenge. I don't understand this at all- I mean- HOW? Hot goaltending. Giguire was INSANE in net. Now let's see how long that lasts...
Guest treble charged Report post Posted April 17, 2003 Well, Dallas still has to get by Edmonton (which I think they will, unfortunately. Edmonton needed to win game 4, and with Dvorak gone they'll have a tougher time), but it's either them or Colorado right now. St. Louis or Vancouver don't match up to either of them. Guest LaParkaMarka Report post Posted April 17, 2003 Colorado has to be the favorite in the West. The Canucks and Blues have too many weaknesses, and Dallas is going through a rough series with Edmonton. But hey, the Ducks might end up pulling a Carolina, so you never know. I also know why the Ducks won. I was at a friend's place to watch Canucks/Angel, and we turned on the Ducks game to see that it had gone into OT. I was trying to figure out a chant to help support the Ducks, and I remembered the movie it was based on. So when the Ducks break out of their zone, I started a "Quack...quack...quack" chant. As I was quacking, they score. I wish I would have done that during the Canucks game.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted April 17, 2003 I know nothing about Hockey but I enjoy Seeing Emilo Estevez finally getting a push... Long OVERDUE If you ask me....
Guest MaxPower27 Report post Posted April 17, 2003 I thought it was over for Anaheim when Federov scored. With momentum, I figured Detroit would score quickly in OT. Giguere deserves some top-quality floozies for his job in the series. 171 shots, 165 saves.
