Guest bob_barron Report post Posted April 25, 2003 HBK has there been any fallout yet from the loss, a lot of backlash against Belfour? Not really- it really isn't his fault that the Leafs lost. Shayne Corson is dominating the headlines now

Guest DerangedHermit Report post Posted April 25, 2003 Holy crap. What in the hell is up with all these OT's this year in the playoffs?  --- Responding to on the last page, I'm a semi-casual hockey fan, being a Ranger fan (ha!) who hates the Flyers, Devils and Isles.  My opinion on: Ducks - they're the Anaheim Angels of the NHL; Jigs is CLUTCH~! Stars - solid, don't really hate or like them Wild - could be a surprise, but will end up out Canucks - fave Western Conf. team Devs - hate them Lightning - good team, will lose this year, the future is theirs Flyers - hate them Sens - fave Eastern Conf. in the playoffs  Stanley Cup Finals - Sens vs. Ducks (momentum is hard to stop) or Nucks Sens in
Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted April 25, 2003 From a Hockey Novice. It was more important for Anaheim to win this game, than it was for Dallas. Anaheim doesn't have the talent that Dallas does, and it's sometimes harder for less talented teams to bounce back from such a grueling game.
Guest treble charged Report post Posted April 25, 2003 "Thumbs up to Petr Sykora- because damnit- he scored."- Dave Hodge That was great. I thought he had gone home, since they didn't show either him or Bob Mackenzie during the intermission between the 4th and 5th OTs.

Guest starvenger Report post Posted April 25, 2003 Yeah I despise Red Wings, Rangers and Maple Leafs. (Sorry Leaf fans, something about the road Leaf logo always bothered me. Maybe that they were in the west for a long time too. I don't understand because I like the Jays. Well, the Jays aren't exactly like the Leafs. With the Leafs (and assuming you follow hockey) you either love 'em or hate 'em. With the Jays you either like 'em or you really couldn't give a shit. Â And if you hate the road logo... well, I believe that they're making the dark sweaters the home sweaters next year so you can be... less bothered? Â Disliking the Rangers - I don't think that they're as disliked as the Leafs or Wings. The Leafs and Wings have money, spend money (though not always wisely) and at least MAKE the playoffs, so it's understandable there. If the Rangers ever get competent, I figure the hate will come. Game 7 wasn't Belfour's fault. Hell, he was the only guy who showed up. Eddie played about as well as he could, but I think by around 4-1 most of the Leafs had packed it in - you might argue that they packed it in after the second goal, but its semantics at this point. Â Most of Toronto (myself included) wondered wtf the Leafs were thinking, and Belfour proved us wrong. I'm not gonna hate on Eddie until next October. Â Shayne Corson and Darcy Tucker will probably be the scapegoats (because the Toronto media must have some) this summer and I don't expect either to be back. So I don't think anyone wants him back. Â None of this is Eddie's fault- He's the reason the series went 7 Games. They need to get better defenceman and stop keeping stupid players around who take penalties so they can show how tough they are
