Guest treble charged Posted April 20, 2003 Report Posted April 20, 2003 I will go on record right now and say that if the Leafs don't win the east, I hope the Sens do.
Guest treble charged Posted April 20, 2003 Report Posted April 20, 2003 Hey, I kind of like the Sens. There's nothing about them really to hate, except for what they were doing in the arena in last year's Toronto series (taking pot shots at Toronto and CBC, Top 10 reasons why Don Cherry sucks, etc.). I pity them more than I dislike them.
Urban Warfare Posted April 20, 2003 Author Report Posted April 20, 2003 Well Desjardins is out for at least 2 weeks. Full Story
Guest starvenger Posted April 20, 2003 Report Posted April 20, 2003 Yep, another broken foot. Seems to be a popular injury in the series...
Guest treble charged Posted April 20, 2003 Report Posted April 20, 2003 He's the one who broke Antropov's foot, too, isn't he?
Guest Will Scarlet Posted April 20, 2003 Report Posted April 20, 2003 Damn. The Blues are sucking ass in this game. As a Vancouver fan, I am loving every minute of it. What a day! It looks like my two favourite hockey teams will both be winning. Booyah!
Guest bob_barron Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 lol, sure but the Leafs gotta make it first. Go Flyers! Toronto goes out tomorrow!! Be there!! KnobBarron will!! My seats are in the standing room section. The Leafs are 2-0 when I sit there so I'm pretty confident. How about them Canucks so far?
Gert T Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 Can I amend my 7 game series thread and now add St. Louis-Vancouver? I am glad I do not get ESPN2 because it sounds like its getting ugly
Guest the pinjockey Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 As sad as I am to see Desjardins go this will mean the playoff introduction of Jim Vandermeer. This guy has quickly become my new favorite player. Any guy who can fight toe to toe with some of the best fighters in the league and smile the whole time is the man.

You think that they'll send a goon in there when Brashear is already playing?
Guest the pinjockey Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 Vandermeer isn't a goon though. When he first came up he was seen as a legitimate defense prospect, they had no idea he could actually fight. Then one night he happened to get in a fight with Krystof Oliwa IIRC, and was actually able to win the fight. So he is a player first and fighter second.
Guest bob_barron Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 4-3 Vancouver. Another PP Goal. Getting worried...
Guest treble charged Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 Sweet, 2 game 7s on Tuesday now.
Guest MaxPower27 Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 2 game 7's? Queefs still gotta win, TC.
Guest bob_barron Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 Sweet, 2 game 7s on Tuesday now. Yes- that's gonna be one great night of hockey. Two Game 7s in one night- Wow. I can't wait
Guest MaxPower27 Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 ::plans to laugh at TC and KnobBarron after the game on Monday::
Guest LaParkaMarka Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 Geez, the ending of that game was horribly stressful. The Canucks barely got out of there with a win. Now let's hope they can play a full 60 minutes in Game 7.
Guest bob_barron Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 ::plans to laugh at TC and KnobBarron after the game on Monday:: Just because I like Minnesota is no reason to laugh at me if they lose
Guest treble charged Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 Will you be laughing at our victory dances?
Guest MaxPower27 Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 So, you'll be dancing and hollering 'Let's go Flyers' on Monday evening?
Guest the pinjockey Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 I already told you guys the series' fate was sealed as soon as I got my game 7 ticket. Whoever won game 5 would finish the series in Game 6.
Guest treble charged Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 No worries, man, you'll just have a nice seat watching the Leafs finish off Philly.
Guest bob_barron Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 I already told you guys the series' fate was sealed as soon as I got my game 7 ticket. Whoever won game 5 would finish the series in Game 6. You're gonna have a fun time Tuesday. Playoff hockey is so awesome- Have fun.
Guest MaxPower27 Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 Yeah he will. And then, he'll walk outside, and see a flying pig.
Guest bob_barron Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 Is that how they react when they lose in Philly? They toss a pig in the air? That's odd
Guest MaxPower27 Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 And the pig will have a banner. 'THE LEAFS WIN THE STANLEY CUP!!'
