Philadelphia is one wacky city.

Two Game 7s in one night- If I didn't have my two goal policy- I would never get any studying done

Don't worry, you'll be tucked into bed when the game is basically over after 20 minutes.

I'll certainly be cheering for a Game 7...the more these two teams beat the living shit out of each other, the better.

You're awfully cocky for a Sens fan.

Nah. I hate the Flyers, but after watching them dominate the Leafs lately, I have faith.

The last time the Flyers dominated the Leafs, they came back with a win. I'm not too worried.

Funny, I don't remember the Leafs winning game 5.

Well, I guess we have different ideas of what 'domination' is. I don't consider a 3-2 triple overtime win a 'dominating' game. The Leafs got their asses handed to them in game 2 and came back with a win in game 3.

The Flyers won game 5 4-1. 4 unanswered goals by Philly. Philly 2-4 on the PP.

taken from ESPN.com The Flyers are 10-0 in best-of-seven series in which they won Game 5 after being tied 2-2.

stats are random numbers. It just a coincidence that they are 10-0.

So where's Nolan?

You Leaf fans are clearly dellusional. Honestly, get your head out of your asses. Aside from game 3, which the Leafs showed some signs of life, the Flyers have COMPLETELY dominated the series. Ask Pat Quinn - he'd tell you the exact same thing. Know what else? and mark my words. If the Leafs do win this series; Banky, Rad, and all of my other TSM creations will leave the board forever. Thats right, forever. This isn't even a contest. Barring a major major choke, the Flyers have this series in the bag. then all of you useless Leafs fanboys can take your maple leaf pride and shove it straight up your clueless asses.

Who's next?

The fucking Senators. All of you Eastern Canadian motherfuckers are going down. Treble, Bob, and the rest of the Leafs fans - I'm not one to say I told you so BUT I told you so.

I would like to congratulate the Washington Capitals on their continued tradition of blowing series' leads. Bolts in the 2nd round!

Speaking of game 7's did anyone else notice that game 7 for Phi-Tor and Col-Min would go tomorrow? If the Leafs and/or Wild win there are gonna be some tired bodies on the ice (read: potentially boring hockey).

My (naturally unbiased :P ) opinions on these games: both series go to game 7, with the Leafs and Avs advancing.

Barry Melrose was comparing them to the Rangers - lots of talent, but not enough chemistry. The Lightning kicked it into a higher gear at the right time - but now we'll see what they can do against arguably the best goalie in the league in Martin Brodeur.

They also say that winning 4 in a row in the playoffs isn't a common occurance. 3 teams (Anaheim, Ottawa and Tampa) have done it so far this year. And the Canucks could come back from a 3-1 deficit.

This is the playoffs, ANYTHING can happen. Especially when you're in a "win or go home" situation.

Whether this actually happens or not, all I can say is that you'd never see an MLB player even considering coming back this quickly.

Article can be found here. Yes, it's a Toronto paper - what did you expect?

Antropov could return tonight

Josh Rubin

STAFF REPORTER

With their season on the line against the Philadelphia Flyers tonight, the Toronto Maple Leafs could be getting some help in the form of lanky centre Nik Antropov.

A meeting with team doctors this afternoon is the only thing keeping Antropov out of the lineup less than two weeks after he broke his foot, according to Leafs head coach Pat Quinn.

``He's at the doctor's right now, probably for an x-ray. I'd never say `yes, he'll play,' until I've spoken to the medical people,'' said Quinn.

Antropov took part in all the drills during practice, and wore his full equipment. During the team's practice Sunday, Antropov was skating and only wore a tracksuit.

After today's practice, Quinn left no doubt he felt Antropov would be able to fit right into the lineup.

``He hasn't been out so long, unlike some of the guys last year, who were out three weeks, four weeks, five weeks,'' said Quinn. In last year's injury-plagued postseason run, the Leafs lost several players, including captain Mats Sundin.

Antropov's right foot was broken in Game 1 of the Leafs' series against the Flyers when he was hit by a slapshot from Philadelphia defenceman Eric Desjardins. Desjardins, ironically, suffered a broken right toe Saturday night in Game 5, when he was hit by a slapshot from Owen Nolan.

Quinn wouldn't confirm who Antropov would be playing with if he does return, saying only he'd make some little changes to the lineup.

``I don't want to talk about something hypothetical,'' Quinn said.

Before his injury, Antropov was skating on a line with Owen Nolan and Alexander Mogilny.

Mogilny was happy to see Antropov on the ice again, but warned it doesn't matter how well Antropov feels. The only thing that matters is the x-ray, Mogilny said.

``If you have a broken foot, it's not about how you feel,'' said Mogilny.

Antropov's apparently-rapid return to health left Mogilny shaking his head, and joking that the 23-year-old Kazakh must have super-human recovery powers.

``Of course he can recover from it. He grew up near a nuclear power plant. That must be it. I think maybe he has an extra bone in there, too,'' Mogilny said.

and Antropov will do what?

He'll do something that would be either a benefit or detriment to the team. I don't really know - all I'm saying is that he's nuts for trying to come back so quickly.

Games 1 and 2 were totally Flyers, my ball hockey team would have done a better job against them. Since then they've been pretty equal. Shots on goal aside, neither team has been dominant for more than a couple of shifts. The score was lopsided in Game 5 but at least the Leafs showed up and weren't thrown all over the ice. The Leafs have to realize that the object of the game is to put the puck in the net, you don't get a bonus goal for making it pretty.

Or hitting the post for that matter. Close only counts in stuff like archery.

Yeah, that too. As I said before, the bottom line is "win or go home".

And it looks like Antropov WILL play tonight. Crazy, um, what do you call someone from Kazachstan?

(edit) Good, Fraser isn't reffing. Hopefully the reffing will be decent then, and not inconsistent.

The team scoring the most goals is undefeated in the playoffs.

I assume you mean "most goals each game" so I'll let it pass.

I guess we could also say that anytime a goalie allows no goals in a game, that team is also undefeated.

In the middle of the hardest played series I have ever seen they start to call ticky tack penalties. This is complete crap.

I assume you mean a full game, since the Jersey backup didn't give up any goals in Game 4 against Boston, yet Jersey still lost.
