Guest CanadianChris Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 If Minnesota, Vancouver and Toronto win tonight, victory in my hockey pool is all but assured.
Guest starvenger Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 I honestly don't know about the jerseys starvenger. Hey, no prob - I was just curious. Not a lot of demand for hockey sweaters down in Tejas, know what I mean?
Guest bob_barron Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 I understand. I wish hockey jerseys were cheaper- I only own two.
Guest treble charged Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 I have forgotten nothing, including the fact that the Sens lost their best defenceman and one of their top forwards in Game 5. They should have closed it out in Ottawa. They handled the Leafs just fine up to that point. Yeah, and the Leafs had all their top players playing, too. I'm pretty sure that the Leafs had a line in game 6 (and probably game 7, too) that consisted entirely of players who spent most of the year in the AHL. For crying out loud, ALYN MCCAULEY was a top player for the Leafs in that series. You can't go using the excuse of not having players in the lineup against the Leafs last year when the Leafs played the entire series with their best player (plus many more) not in the lineup. Would the Sens have won the series if Chara had played in the last 2 games? It's very likely and it probably helped the Leafs out a lot when he got hurt, but the Sens should have won that series, anyway, with all the injuries that the Leafs suffered.
Guest starvenger Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 I wish hockey jerseys were cheaper- I only own two. Me too - I've taken to getting them off of eBay lately. I own over 10 at last count. My girlfriend doesn't like them much though.
Guest CanadianChris Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Wow...3 Game 7s. Tonight almost deserves its own thread.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Wild, Canucks & Flyers will win tonight.
Guest bob_barron Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 I'm still saying Avs, Canucks and Leafs. The Leafs have all the momentum from last night and have won their last two Game 7s. I don't see them blowing it
Gert T Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Avs, Blues!, & Leafs Hella of a night though either way
Guest bob_barron Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 If the Big 3 don't show up tonight- St. Louis is taking it.
Guest cartman Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Avs(sadly), Blues(Easily), and Leafs(unfortunately)
Guest starvenger Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Anyone watching on ESPN? Chris Simpson was talking about mental mistakes, and the camera was focused on Darcy Tucker. Coincidence?
Guest HBK16 Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Party at my house if the Leafs and the Wild win tonight.
Guest Brush with Greatness Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 I need Avs, Canucks and Flyers for my pools. However, if the Leafs are going to win they better damn well go all the way and win the Cup because I want Eddie bringing the Cup back home again.
Guest HBK16 Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 I didnt know there were so many Leafs fans here.
Guest starvenger Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Hey, HHH must be in the building, they're chanting "ASSHOLE"...
Guest starvenger Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Questionable penalty, btw. Who's reffing?
Guest RepoMan Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 No, they'd be chanting boring. Amazing how every thread turns in HHHate.
Guest starvenger Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Not true. In the Kerry Fraser thread I compared him to Kevin Nash...
Guest RepoMan Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 I think they're showing the last time the Leafs won the cup on ESPN Classic.
Guest starvenger Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 I think they're showing the last time the Leafs won the cup on ESPN Classic. So will the kiddies even know who Foster Hewitt was? You know, the Leafs and Flyers are playing like they played 5 periods of hockey last night...
Guest cartman Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Guest bob_barron Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 At least the Nets are winning. I'm not concerned yet- the Leafs were down 2-0 in Game 3
