TheOriginalOrangeGoblin Posted April 23, 2003 Report Posted April 23, 2003 Dammit. I'm a huge Leafs fan but the way they're playing they deserve to lose. SENS are still in. And they're gonna eliminated Philly.
Guest starvenger Posted April 23, 2003 Report Posted April 23, 2003 I'm assuming he is, but hitting himself is probably not an option right now. LeClair just happened to be in the vicinity, and Belfour earned that dumb penalty. I am glad you aren't being a typical dellusional fan and making excuses for them...I respect you for that. Check my posts, I don't make excuses, and I rip on them if they deserve it (like, say, today). I lived through the Ian Turnbull era, so I know what crap is. However, like any true fan, I still hope that the Leafs can pull it out. I'm with them until they're officially out. And for those of you asking "who the hell is Ian Turnbull?", I reply, "exactly"...
Guest starvenger Posted April 23, 2003 Report Posted April 23, 2003 What are we chanting? It sounds like Bel-Four, but I can't confirm that. You're correct on that.
Guest bob_barron Posted April 23, 2003 Report Posted April 23, 2003 I think it sucks that the Leafs didn't show up and decided to play like shit during their biggest game of the year. After the awesomeness that was Game 6 I think it's pretty sad they couldn't capitalise on that momentum. I hope there's some way they can pull it out but if they can't I'll still support them and hope things can get better next year
Guest CanadianChris Posted April 23, 2003 Report Posted April 23, 2003 Unfortunately, I think anyone could have, and SHOULD have, seen this coming. Philadelphia totally outplayed the Leafs in every game at home, and only having the worst playoff goaltender who is currently not involved in the Canucks-Blues series prevented them from winning Game 1. Other than that, Philadelphia has been totally dominant at the FU Centre (what an appropriate name for a Philly building), and this should not be a surprise to anyone.
Guest bob_barron Posted April 23, 2003 Report Posted April 23, 2003 I just figured the Leafs having the momentum from Game 6 would've helped them- guess not. Well Go Canucks!
Guest CanadianChris Posted April 23, 2003 Report Posted April 23, 2003 Yes...go Canucks! And go Wild!!
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted April 23, 2003 Report Posted April 23, 2003 I consider the Wild a sentimental favorite, simply because I think it was shitty for Minnesota to lose their team.
Guest starvenger Posted April 23, 2003 Report Posted April 23, 2003 I consider the Wild a sentimental favorite, simply because I think it was shitty for Minnesota to lose their team. The North Stars were oh-so-close to winning the Cup though - I'd have loved to have seen that...
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted April 23, 2003 Report Posted April 23, 2003 GOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLL!
Guest Memoirs of an Invisible Chevy Posted April 23, 2003 Report Posted April 23, 2003 Holy fuckballs have the Leafs quit on Belfour.
Guest Memoirs of an Invisible Chevy Posted April 23, 2003 Report Posted April 23, 2003 I just figured the Leafs having the momentum from Game 6 would've helped them- guess not. Well Go Canucks! The Leafs didn't exactly dominate game 6. They didn't even really deserve to win. They didn't deserve to win any game these playoffs.
Guest Memoirs of an Invisible Chevy Posted April 23, 2003 Report Posted April 23, 2003 Na Na NA NA Hey Hey GOOOOOD-BYYYYEEE!
Guest Memoirs of an Invisible Chevy Posted April 23, 2003 Report Posted April 23, 2003 I bet 5 bucks Domi and/or Tucker starts a fight...
Guest RepoMan Posted April 23, 2003 Report Posted April 23, 2003 Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Hey Hey Hey Goodbye.

They didnt dominate Game 6 but they played great throughout and absolutely murdered them in overtime
Guest starvenger Posted April 23, 2003 Report Posted April 23, 2003 My only consolation here is that the Flyers will probably be overconfident in game 1 on Thursday. Wait, that's not much consolation...
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted April 23, 2003 Report Posted April 23, 2003 Na Na Na Na, Na Na Na Na, Hey Hey Hey GOODBYE
Guest starvenger Posted April 23, 2003 Report Posted April 23, 2003 I bet 5 bucks Domi and/or Tucker starts a fight... There's no real point to fighting now. Brashear should probably be smart enough not to oblige... (edit) Then again, you DID say Domi...

Get your biased head out of your ass.

I'd maybe start liking them if they left.
Guest bob_barron Posted April 23, 2003 Report Posted April 23, 2003 I'm not being biased Banky- We kicked your ass in overtime. They had so many chances that I'm suprised we didnt score sooner.

They may have controlled the over-time at best - but no asses were being kicked and no one was getting murdered. This is a murder. This is an ass-kicking. A 3 OT game isn't a murder/slaughter. Buh Bye.
Guest bob_barron Posted April 23, 2003 Report Posted April 23, 2003 Game 6 went two overtimes not three. I think having tons of chances and killing a penalty is an asskicking. Go Vancouver!

Go Vancouver! Barron, are you an idiot? A game that is tied for 4 fucking periods is not an ass kicking. Honestly.
