Guest treble charged Posted May 13, 2003 Report Posted May 13, 2003 I have a feeling that Anaheim and Minnesota will have a 6-5 game sometime during this series.
Guest Slingshot Suplex Posted May 13, 2003 Report Posted May 13, 2003 Hell, the question at the moment is if the Wild can score on him,let alone beat him.
Guest Vern Gagne Posted May 13, 2003 Report Posted May 13, 2003 During the 2002-2003 season the Wild have scored 6 goals in 6 games against Giguiere and he has 4 shutouts. I don't see Anaheim's defense suddenly allowing 4 or 5 goals.
Guest CanadianChris Posted May 13, 2003 Report Posted May 13, 2003 Pat Burns looked a lot better with the mustache. GO SENS GO!
Guest CanadianChris Posted May 13, 2003 Report Posted May 13, 2003 Well, FUCK. Seeing-eye goal and it's 1-0 Devils. Senators are going to have a lot harder time when they give up the first goal against Jersey that they did against Philly.
Guest CanadianChris Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 I can't think of a worse period the Sens have played in these playoffs. FOUR power plays in the first 13 minutes, and they're down 2-0. This looks very bad.
Guest CanadianChris Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 Wow, pretty goal by Bonk! 2-1 Devils, and they should've tied it with Hossa's 2-on-1.
Guest Vern Gagne Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 What's the deal with Martin Brodeur and his wife? Sportscenter had a story, saying she went out on dates, and they where seperated.
Guest CanadianChris Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 What's the deal with Martin Brodeur and his wife? Sportscenter had a story, saying she went out on dates, and they where seperated. There's a rumour going around that he slept with her sister.
Guest nl5xsk1 Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 It's not a rumor, Brodeur did cheat on his wife with her sister - he's admitted it in interviews (and I very nearly wrote HIS sister, but that would have been a whole different episode of Springer) - I think the infidelity is the reason him and his wife split up.

You know, I DID see an episode of Springer like that - two hot sisters were sleeping with one another. But of course this is Springer and everything you see on the show must be taken with a grain of salt...

Did he really? OK then...every report I've read has treated it as just a fairly reliable rumour. The funny thing is, I saw a piece on it where apparently his wife is calling him up on game days and telling him she's going out with other men. Not the best way to get mentally prepared, that's for sure.
Guest Slingshot Suplex Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 Well,we didn't have to wait half a game for a goal this time. Anybody catch that play by play on Gaborik's break in on Giguere? Guy gets all excited on Gabby's breakaway and Giguere calmly makes a good save and the announcer says something like Oh it doesn't matter,it's Giguere.
Guest MaxPower27 Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 All I could think was "WHY THE DEVIL DID HE GO LOW?!" I mean, I know it's not me on the ice, but when Giguere is a proven butterfly goalie, and has stymied your team when they go low, my thought would be to go high.
Guest starvenger Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 Ducks win 4-0. 3 straight doughnuts for Giguere. In-fucking-credible...
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 Has there ever been a Conference final where one team got swept in 4 games and didnt even score 1 goal? Talk about not even bothering to show up..
Guest treble charged Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 I think the Wild are just tired, add that to the fact that they aren't as good as the Wings or the Stars, who the Ducks already beat and now Giguere's in their head... Well, the odds were stacked against them. I still have this feeling that the Wild will win the next game by something like 6-5 before losing game 5.
Guest CanadianChris Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 Has there ever been a Conference final where one team got swept in 4 games and didnt even score 1 goal? Talk about not even bothering to show up.. There's never been a series where one team failed to score an entire goal in any round. Philadelphia set a record last year with two goals scored in their five-game series...I don't know if that's the record for all series or not.
Guest starvenger Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 I just noticed that Kerry Fraser is reffing tonight's game...
Guest MaxPower27 Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 This is a bad night: Sens are down, and not looking very good. AND Chris Berman is in the studio with John Saunders and Barry Melrose, doing his stupid nicknames. CHRIS BERMAN
Guest MaxPower27 Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 The Wild finally get one past Giguere! 1-1 after 1.
Guest MaxPower27 Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 2-1 Ducks. Oates has both goals, both on the PP. Ducks are 20 minutes away from the Stanley Cup Finals. Yes, I just typed that. The Anaheim Mighty Ducks. 20 minutes from the Stanley Cup Finals.
Guest MaxPower27 Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 I keep saying it out loud, but it sounds crazier with each fact. The Mighty Ducks are in the Stanley Cup Finals. They are 12-2 in the postseason. J.S. Giguere had a .992% save percentage against Minnesota. He stopped 122 of 123 shots. I still can't believe this. It's great, but completely insane.
Guest treble charged Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 It's almost like someone's playing a video game on easy mode, or something. Crazy. Just crazy.
Guest Slingshot Suplex Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 DUCKS WIN! DUCKS WIN! Yes I'm late but I had to settle for the replay. Congrats to the Wild though on a good season.
Guest treble charged Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 Man, the Sens are REALLY controlling this game. I have a feeling that the Devils are going to get a cheap goal sometime soon.
