Guest NoCalMike Report post Posted April 8, 2003 Brig. Gen. Benjamin Freakly (unfortunate name), one of the people on the scene, is reporting that it's possible that the chemicals are just pesticide. Well with that, let me just say: it is too early to speculate either way. This is the 3rd or 4th time that "chemicals" have been found and every news source is so eager to be "THE FIRST TO BRING THE SCROLLING NEWS UPDATE" and then the story is eithe false or severely exaggerated. Guest SP-1 Report post Posted April 8, 2003 You also must keep in mind that embedded reporters would be facing a mighty temptation to report shady activities of weapons planting.
Guest NoCalMike Report post Posted April 8, 2003 Well the method of reporting today is: Report NOW, sort out the facts later after the ratings report comes in.
Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted April 8, 2003 That's true. I saw an expert who thought it wouldn't be until after the war was over, and maybe former scientist would help locate WMD.
Conspiracy_Victim 0 Report post Posted April 8, 2003 LOL You don't think there's even a remote chance that it is possible? Oh sure. The military is going to carry around some chemical and biological weaponry -- INTO A WAR ZONE --- so they can plant it. Yeah, THAT's plausible. -=Mike That's what I've been saying to asshats who come up with this. In the midst of something like 600 US and international reporters we are going to come up with some chemical or biological weapons, transport them to Iraq, carry them into a war zone (face it, we control most of Iraq but fire fights are still prevalent in quite a few places), plant them somewhere, them "find" them..... ALL WITHOUT ANYONE SEEING US AND REPORTING ON IT! Come on, you don't think some Iraqi civilian or embedded reporter would see some special forces group and some heavy equipment (you aren't going to be burying 55 gallon drums with shovels, you need earth movers and bulldozers) with a bunch of huge drums and not tell someone? Please! All these Oliver Stone wannabes don't want to give GWB or the military any credit for anything, but simply want to be naysayers because they don't like him personally.
