Guest Your Olympic Hero Posted April 7, 2003 Report Posted April 7, 2003 Obviously Cena should find some way past Taker to the finals. I'm unsure of how Benoit/Rhyno will turn out... but I'm sure the match will be great. I'm hoping for a Cena/Benoit final with Cena getting the duke. Your thoughts?

(Big Show, A-Train, FBI, Nathan Jones) Maybe Nathan will hit Cena and get Taker DQ'ed. Benoit will beat Rhyno. Cena beats Benoit after Rhyno does a run-in and turns on Benoit. I see Cena winning, but not getting a clean victory in either match.

I see Cena winning, but not getting a clean victory in either match. Actually, I can see Cena getting both dukes clean. Doesn't mean it'll happen, but I think I can see it. Why? Firstly, if Cena is to be taken as a serious threat to Brock, he has to beat Taker clean. Only way to justify that he's tough enough to beat out Lesnar, since Lesnar did the same thing as well. Secondly, if Cena can take out Benoit clean (maybe via submission) it'll also make Cena look like he is much more crafty and witty than people give him credit for. Plus it makes Cena all big and strong for the Lesnar squashing.

Actually, Cena would beat Taker clean and then the FBI will come in and nail away on Taker, so that Jones can come make the save. At least, if the WWE is trying to get Cena some cred.

Cena over Benoit ... it won't be 100% clean, might have Big Show and Albert come ringside and - at the least - distract Benoit long enough for Cena to get a roll up and use the tights, etc The ramifications of Show and Albert coming ringside would mean we'd have Benoit / Rhyno vs. Show / Albert at the next PPV. I'm not saying I'm for that - but I do see it happening. Although Rhyno turning on Benoit isn't so bad either.

It would be uber cool if Kurt was back around SummerSlam. We could get Benoit and Angle after Summer Slam for Angle/Benoit part 5000000. That feud never gets old.

Face vs face Benoit/Angle would be pretty good if it was a respect/who's the better man kinda feud. Nothing but clean finishes and interviews like the one that Benoit cut before the Rumble, about how its his dream or something. I can't quite remember but it was a good promo.

With Cena i think it would be cool if they had Brock Lesnar come out onto the ramp right near the end of the match have it look like Cena is gonna dvd Taker but have him do the F-5 simply becasue Lesnars watching. And have Cena take home the win with that.

I don't think he'll lose cleanly but maybe he'll put Cena over strong

Normally if any challenger has to go through multiple people to get a title shot (win a tournament/battle royal/royal rumble), the payoff is that they win the title. I think the only time this doesn't apply is with Triple H (Wrestlemania 2000, Wrestlemania XIX). That said, Cena might not necessarily win the title.

Taker is almost done and now is their chance to make a new star. But as we all know common sense has no place in World Wrestling Entertainment.

Kurt Angle Mark Posted April 8, 2003 Report Posted April 8, 2003 Cena over Benoit in the finals I don't care if FBI interferes or not in the Cena/Undertaker match, but Cena has to hit the DVD on the Undertaker or the win is meaningless. Also I would love to see Cena use the spot from No Mercy 2000 where HHH countered the Crossface with a DVD.

Benoit over Rhyno: Not sure how it will play out, but it will be something that will set up the future heel turn by one of them. Cena over Benoit: Benoit will make Cena look great and Cena will look strong going into Backlash. A problem that arises is that WWe can't make Cena look too strong. With his charisma If he looks too strong he'll get over as a face before Backlash.
