Q-Tip

Recommended Posts

He used to be favourite rapper way back when, and recently, I just realized he hasn't done much of anything. A reason for this? Can someone elaborate? I honestly don't remember him releasing anything after Eminem hit it big.

Also, I love the guy's style, what do all of you think of him?

After his second album, he faded away from the planet.

I can't think of anything I like of him except for "Vibrate Thing".

End of story.

Q-Tip was the man.

He died along with Tribe Called Quest in '99.

Isn't he now known as Kaamal the Abstract or something?

Yeah, and his second solo album was suppose to harken back to Tribe's terrific jazz-rap fusion classic The Low End Theory. It got shelved by his label due to an apparent lack of commercial appeal.

Tribe will make a comeback, one day. IF they haven't already.

Yea, I heard they're back together again.

A Tribe Called Quest's first 3 albums are some of the best rap ever.

Q-Tip's solo album was targeted at the pop audience.

They are planning on getting back together. There is an interview with Phife

talking about it here.
