He used to be favourite rapper way back when, and recently, I just realized he hasn't done much of anything. A reason for this? Can someone elaborate? I honestly don't remember him releasing anything after Eminem hit it big.

 

Also, I love the guy's style, what do all of you think of him?

After his second album, he faded away from the planet.

 

I can't think of anything I like of him except for "Vibrate Thing".

A.Tribe.Called.Quest

 

End of story.

 

Q-Tip was the man.

 

He died along with Tribe Called Quest in '99.

Yeah, and his second solo album was suppose to harken back to Tribe's terrific jazz-rap fusion classic The Low End Theory. It got shelved by his label due to an apparent lack of commercial appeal.

A Tribe Called Quest's first 3 albums are some of the best rap ever.

Q-Tip's solo album was targeted at the pop audience.

 

They are planning on getting back together. There is an interview with Phife

talking about it here.
