Guest Breetai Report post Posted April 8, 2003 I just finished watching the WM match between the two, and it suddenly hit me. HHH actually thinks he's Flair and it's the 80's again. When listening to the commentary regarding Booker, it's obvious that he's playing Steamboat to HHH's Flair. Think about it.

Guest Breetai Report post Posted April 8, 2003 Flair didn't bury Steamboat though. Point. HHH just killed the crowd DEAD, making his heel comebacks when he did. Killing 2 finishers like that while pinning TWENTY-THREE seconds after the pedigree (I counted) is just fucking criminal. All so he won't lose his precious heat. Hmm... let's see; Rocky jobs to Booker in the battle royale to give him the rub. Booker jobs to HHH to keep him a strong heel. (Because as we know, even if you've consistantly gone over the whole roster, one big loss will drag you down to the level of Spike Dudley.) Rocky jobs to G-berg. HHH either jobs to Goldberg, in which case 3 high profile jobs by main eventers has gone into building up a mediocre quick-fix part-time talent OR he goes over G-berg in which case the three jobs go towards hammering the point home that HHH is invincible, and there WILL be no-one left with any credibility to beat him. Those same 3 jobs could be used to build up 3 new credible main-eventers. For fuck's sake, Hogan looked more vulnerable than this in the frikken mid-80's! Guest Mole Report post Posted April 8, 2003 Breetai, did you just figure this out? Triple-Juice has been doing this for a long time now.
Guest cynicalprofit Report post Posted April 8, 2003 And HHH is no where near as good a worker as flair was. He was prequad injury, but now a days, drizziling shits.
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Report post Posted April 8, 2003 Bite your tongue! He was nowhere close to Flair pre-quad injury.
Guest EternallyLazy Report post Posted April 9, 2003 And HHH is no where near as good a worker as flair was. He was prequad injury, but now a days, drizziling shits. blasphemy! HHH was EXTREMELY over rated pre-quad injury
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted April 9, 2003 I disagree. HHH was that damn good (pun intended) before the quad injury, and he's lost some weight and seems to be trying to get back there soon. Good for him.

Good for him. Trips had a great run but was programmed against some of the best wrestlers of the day. The only guy he had a good match with who was less than spectacular was Rikishi. The rest were Foley, Rock, Jericho, Benoit, Angle, TAKA, etc.
Guest Patorick Report post Posted April 9, 2003 His match with Vince at Armageddon 1999 was pretty good too...
Guest THE MIGHTY THOR Report post Posted April 9, 2003 Comparing Flair/Steamboat with HHH/Book is the biggest blasphemy i've ever seen, HHH wished he had at least 1% of Flair's skills.Triple Crips is nothing but a desperate man who is a legend in his own mind, trying so hard to be something the he is not and as hard as he tries could never be, the true WWE franchise. B. Brian Brunzell 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2003 The idea of comparing HHH/Book to Flair/Steamboat is laughable. Until they have a match over ****, you can't compare. They've yet to even top ***, so there won't be ANY comparing any time soon.
Guest Brian Report post Posted April 9, 2003 Booker T/HHH looks like it's over. Booker got a pin in the tag match, Nash has arrived.

Guest Mad Dog Report post Posted April 9, 2003 Flair is superior to prequad Trips for one reason: He got a watchable match out of Ronnie Garvin.
Guest Gary Busey Report post Posted April 10, 2003 Yeah, HHH is trying desperately to make himself the next Flair. He's just missing the finer points of what made Flair so great, even when losing. Bubba Ray -> Dusty Rhodes Booker -> Steamboat I'm tired right now; any others?

Bubba Ray -> Dusty Rhodes Booker -> Steamboat I'm tired right now; any others? I think that Shawn was actually more of the Steamboat role. It's pretty pathetic how blatantly they tried to make Bubba Ray Dusty. The big gut, the Flip Flip and Fly, JR calling him a "son of a plumber" (I thought Big Daddy Dudley was a traveling salesman), and all he was missing was the lisp.
