Actually, similar Bush/Dick/Colin jokes were made back during the first Gulf War.

I loved on Jimmy Kimmel, where one of the guests co-host said this joke. Right about at that time though, Whoopi Goldberg said it too. Kimmel's guests co-host made a huge deal about the joke being his. To top it all off, Kimmel's brother spray-painted Colon, Dick, Bush on the co-host's Porsche.
