Just When You Think Thing's Couldn't Get Worse...

Lundgren made his feature film debut in the James Bond movie A View to a Kill (1985), which co-starred his then lover Grace Jones.

Ewwwww Grace Jones and Dolph Lundgren. Come on think of a worse Hollywood couple than those two, I can't think of any besides maybe Danny DeVito and Rhea(sp?) Pearlman.

Anyway back on topic the first Street Fighter blew dogs for quarters and so have all but one or two Jean Claude Van Damme movies.

Britney Spears and Keanu Reeves as a couple would be MUCH worse than Dolph and Grace Jones.

Britney and Keanu would be two popular untalented hacks together in unholy union. Just think of the awful untalented kids they would bred being pushed as stars at some point. The world wouldn't be safe to live in.

Dolph is actually really really smart (140 IQ sound high? I'm not sure how it works....) He came to the USA to study Math or something, and just took up acting as a challange...

visits IMDB.com:

Dolph Lundgren attended the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden. He received a master's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia in 1982, and the next year was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to MIT. In New York City he met drama coach Waffen Robertson and tried chis chance as an actor concentrating on action movies. His last movie, The Shooter was shot mainly in Prague, Czech Republic. Lundgren has a second-degree black belt in karate and is aiming for his third-degree black belt.

Dolph Lundgren is living proof that brains and brawn do go together. Born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden, Lundgren attended the Royal Institute of Technology. Spending time abroad in the United States on various academic scholarships, he attended Washington State University and Clemson in South Carolina. In 1982, he received a scholarship to complete his Masters degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Sydney in Australia. The following year, he was awarded a Fullbright Scholarship to the world-renowned Massachusetts Institute of Technology. While on his way to Boston to continue his studies, he stopped to New York City and there his life took a radical turn. While working at the trendy Limelight Disco along side actor Chazz Palminteri, Lundgren met with noted drama coach Warren Robertson, and decided to give acting a try. Lundgren made his feature film debut in the James Bond movie A View to a Kill (1985), which co-starred his then lover Grace Jones. Then he beat out 5000 other hopefuls to land the breakthrough role of Ivan Drago, Sylvester Stallone's opponent in Rocky IV (1985). The success of this film led Lundgren to star in numerous films including Masters of the Universe (1987), The Punisher (1989), Showdown in Little Tokyo (1991) opposite the late Brandon Lee, Universal Soldier (1992) and Johnny Mnemonic (1995). In 1993, he starred in Pentathlon (1994), an action-drama which he also produced under his own production company, Thor Pictures (also known as Red Orm Productions). While most his films tend to typecast him as a bicep-bulging hero, Lundgren is also a founding member of "Group of Eight," a New York theater group started in 1994 which performed "Another Octopus". A world-class athlete, Lundgren took up martial arts at 14 and has achieved his third degree black belt). His accomplishments in the sport include being the captain of the Swedish full-contact karate team and the winner of the European Heavyweight Full-Contact Karate Championship in 1980 and 1981, as well as the Australian heavyweight division title in 1982. Lundgren's lifelong interest in physical fitness led to his 1987 workout video called Maximum Potential. In addition to his karate expertise, Lundgren was selected to serve as the Team Leader of the 1996 U.S. Olympic Pentathlon Team. He is married to Annette Qviberg Lundgren, a jewelry designer and fashion stylist. The couple divide their time between New York City and Stockholm, Sweden. Their daughter Ida was born in April, 1996.

well, the renaissance man with all his brains & athletics does have one weakness.

that weakness, of course, being acting ability.

if he took acting as a challenge, it knocked him on his ass & made him its bitch. i SHUDDER at how badly this man could have been onstage, and i hope he cries himself to sleep every night for the failure he made himself as an "actor."

damn your soul, warren robertson. damn your soul to hell.

Hell, may as well throw Arnie and Sly in there and make it the actor's welfare for has-beens and never-weres.

BUt shit, someone really needs to cast BOLO~! for one of the roles. Shit, just cast him as BOLO and make a new videogame based on him. Badass mother fucker.

As a huge Street fighter fan, I dread the day the film is released. Capcom should go bow their heads in shame for letting this happen...again

Nathan Jones as Sagat.

Seeing him fall on his ass doing all those kicks will be funny.

This one should have special effects for fireballs and sonic booms. I doubt they'd have the budget though. But since I don't think anyone is going to take this project too seriously, they can just throw orange coloured balls (fireballs) and yellow boomerangs (sonic booms) at each other. Damn, imagine the possibilities. This movie can be great.

Oh, prepare yourselves for Street Fighter 2: The Movie: The Videogame.
