Besides WarGames and the finishers idea I through at Ryland at EWB, I don't really see anything else that needs to be added to the game.

 

You just reminded me, I have to get Ryland something off of his wish list.

You WAY underrated the womens match Dames.

 

You gave the 3-way at Armageddon a higher rating. I'm not feeling it

I've got to rewatch both again, but that was what I got out of the initial reactions.

 

I will say this, the Mania match had a better finish.

Mania had the ASS!~ shot.

 

The Armageddon 3-way was sloppy and had too many awkward spots.

 

I also think you underrated Hogan v. Vince but I know you have a hatred for Hogan so I'll let it slide

Hey hey hey!

 

I DO NOT underscore a match due to personal bias.

 

If Goldberg had a ***** match, I wouldn't knock it down to ***3/4 just cuz I have disdain for the man.

 

I honestly felt the match was worth * in terms of the work done. Crowd heat does not make a match better, it simply enhances the aura behind it.

I'm sorry Dames- It wasn't the crowd heat that drew me in.

 

It was just a fun match that seemed to be much shorter then 20 minutes. Vince and Hogan are experts in booking matches to keep people interested and they were at their A game.

 

And that camera shot of Vince with the lead pipe is at least worth an extra *

Once again...production does not make a match better or worse, just the presentation of it.

 

That's why I didn't take off anything for last night's awesome Saturn vs. Barton match even though they caught a CLOSE UP of Saturn blading and putting the blade back into his glove.

Vince v. Hogan was one of those matches where I was expecting to be bored out of my skull but ended up being blown away. I was also STILL pissed HBK won and Hogan v. Vince made me forget about all it. The atmosphere in the theatre also helped my enjoyment. We'll see if the match holds up on DVD

You're lucky, Bob. While watching it in the sports bar filled with marks was fun, I'd love to see it in a theater.

The theatre is pretty markish for the most part- everyone LOVES Benoit which makes his matches 10x better because the crowd just goes crazy with every nearfall and every submission hold.

 

You also pay attention to the commentary a lot more which I never do when I watch it with friends

I should campaign for a theater to carry it somehow here.

 

I'd consider selling myself into erotic slavery for a chance to be in a theater packed with Benoit marks during a super great match.
